I am a youtube hobby chef and have been looking fir a very sharp and balanced knife fir about 1 year . Since I am using already some of the "Hexclad" cooking vessels , I thought I like to give it a try. So glad I did ! I have never used or owned a knife like this before! It is so very well balanced , super sharp ( and yes , I did cut myself at the very first use of it , never expected that type of sharpness before ! 🤗😂 ) love the wooden handle but not so much the feel , if woodenhandle and hands are wet .The easy care for it is a plus too .My husband will not touch it , its too sharp for him , so he said , he shows lots of respect for it . Now I am planning on getting my "Hexclad-Chef's-knife". I wish it wouldn't be so pricy , but in a long run , I guess you nevet ever need a new knife again ! So , I love the knife and all my 5 cooking vessels from "Hexclad" totally recommend it !

Knife has nice weight to it and is very sharp however after a day around the sink has some rust marks on the blade,

Out of the box, it was very sharp. I washed the knife, then started using it, prepping several vegetables for the evening meal. The knife was so balanced in my hand, and the sharpness of the knife made quick work of slicing, dicing and peeling my veggies. Then I sliced the meat and prepared it for cooking. I love this knife so much! I wish I could get the whole set, but I can't afford them right now, as I am a senior on a fixed income. Hopefully, I will be able to get them at a later date.

This knife and everything I bought at Hexclad has been excellent. It started out to win the Paris trip, which I lost but I was pleasantly surprised that the products I bought were of excellent quality. I'm getting older and my chances for a European vacation is very very slim. It would have been a dream come true for me and my wife.
