I’ve had my hair purple for a while now and this is the best one I have discovered, and it was the first one I dabbled with too ! (I did lighten my hair first)

I've been using overtone since 2017 to revive my brown hair but I finally dared to go purple.
Since I have dark hair, I went to a hairdresser and he did highlights for the purple to be able to go in. I love the color but its really expensive to upkeep so I though of Overtone right away and I must say its stunning the way its keeping my hair vibrant as well as soft and conditioned.
My hair was very dry and its really healing, it looks amazing! Perhaps I'll give their bleach combo a try to see if it's what would work for me but for that, I'll have to ask them for more advice.
These products are the BEST for folks that want to keep these amazing colors without risking ruining their hair!

I love to mix the vibrant purple with the pastel purple to get the "just right" shade for me! I have been using Overtone for years and tell everyone who asks that it is one of the best conditioners I have ever used on my fine curly hair!

Not sure what's vibrant about this purple as it didn't work on either of my daughter's hair. They both have darker blonde hair so we don't always expect the colors to be super dark but this one didn't show up at all. Pretty disappointing as we left it on for 40 minutes and still saw no results. Will stick to one of the other colors instead next time.

I dye most of my hair with this purple, but the front bangs and a few locks at the sides are blue. I love being able to blend the blue into the purple so it makes a nice, organic looking shift.
If you're new to dying hair you need to have realistic expectations. This is a color depositing conditioner. That means it'll fade a little at every wash. I typically go about 3 weeks between touchups. If you don't touch it up every 3ish weeks it'll fade a LOT. That's great if you like to change hair colors frequently, but can be a real surprise if you're used to boxed dyes.
I know everybody says it, but Overtone also smells amazing.

The saturation of the purple is amazing, and after applying, rinsing, and drying, it looks a gorgeous purple pastel, but still very vibrant (you have to consider your starting hair tone; or level of bleaching).
It's smooth to apply, easy to use, hydrating, and feels so conditioning when rinsing!

I have dark brown hair with ombré bleached at the bottom (a faded section that goes into about 3 inches of same-tone blonde/dark blonde hair). This color wasn't pigmented enough to cancel out the brassiness in my blonde, and looked very purple-over-orange in my hair. When it comes to purple, my only other point of reference is Overtone's Royal Plum coloring conditioner, which actually made my ends look truly purple, and also faded better into my brown (an expected result, considering that the color used to be "Purple for Brown Hair"). If you are dyeing from anything above platinum or VERY light blonde and hoping for purple, I'd skip "Vibrant Purple" and go for Royal Plum instead.

Some colors don’t take well on grey hair, like blue- have to do it 3 or 4 days in a row to get it to take. But purple is instantly vibrant, and can be mixed with magenta or blue to change the shade easily. And like all the colors conditions my hair beautifully

I’ve been using this color for a while, along with a few others from Overtone. I have silver-purple-ish highlights that I get at a salon, and vibrant purple is perfect for maintaining them between appointments! Extreme purple is a bit too bright, but this shade is great. Also, I really like that it does not damage my hair at all - the mask is very moisturizing, which is great for someone who gets a partial bleach regularly.
