I was so pleased with the communication I got from Misen 2-3 years ago so when my building caught fire recently it was a no brainer where I was buying my next carbon steel pan. So far I’ve cooked 8 large round sausages and a steak. Each time I did a stove top seasoning. I can live with staining as long as I don’t feel sticky bits after cleaning. From my understanding all germs are killed over 150 degrees and I mostly use 300 degrees and above according to the laser gun I had. I’ll miss my 12” CS pan on French Toast Day. That size would allow me to add 2 slices at a time and I’d do the whole loaf. I bought the 10” because I wanted to see if it worked better on an 8” electric coil. I always used tongs with rubber tips but a SS was donated. I’ll get there. Please remember it’s not always gonna look pretty but there non stick was still pretty after 3 years.

Whether cooking sausage and eggs, or searing a good steak, Misen is my go to for carbon steel.
These pans take seasoning very well. Easy cleanup and seasoning. Just season after you cook and clean up. This pan will give you tremendous nonstick cooking without chemical coatings. I love the handles on Misen, they are amazing.
After dropping my eggs on the pan I move the pan around and my eggs are floating. I have to be careful that they don’t fly off the pan when I move them around. Perfection!

Got this pan specifically to have a chemical free pan for cooking eggs. Unlike other small CS pans, its shape and low profile sides make a flipping an omelette or over easy/medium egg a breeze. Recommend!

I like this pan for many reasons. I guess making it preseasoned is helpful for people unfamiliar with carbon steel pans, but seasoning is not that difficult and builds up a nice layer over time. I regularly make eggs in mine with no problem. I have carbon steel pans from France but what like about the Misen pan is the curved sides and it is less heavy but still quickly provides a nice sear, and it's also easy to control the heat. It cleans up easily with hot water and a nylon scrubby, dry with a paper towel, heat on the stove for 30 secs. I season it every once in awhile with a drop of Canola oil, wiping it until it smokes, then letting it cool. The pan is bullet proof.

I bought the 10 inch and after cooking with it almost every day (sometimes 2x day) for the past two weeks, decided to order the 8 inch pan as well. I wish the roasting pan came in carbon steel! Key is not to really scrub the pan. I make sure I wipe the pan with a paper towel removing excess grease and any food left in the pan. If there are some food bits burned or sticking to the sides ( I did burn some food ) then just gently work at it with plastic or wood utensils or warm some water in the pan on medium. You can use a sponge with a little dish soap. I also add a little avocado oil and leave a light coat after I wash the pan. So far so good!

My first carbon steel pan. Only complaint was that I got the pre-seasoned one. So slick from the factory that oil doesn't even want to adhere to the surface for an additional seasoning layer! Cooked hamburgers, steak, fish, chix, and lotsa eggs. Heats up fast and nothing sticks.

Bought one to try it and had to get the 8” and 10” to fill out the set! These are amazing!

I got this 8" pre-seasoned carbon steel pan along with a non stick 10" pan and both have exceeded my expectations. I thought things might stick to them and a sesoning period would be needed but both of them have been totally non-stick. My only complaint about the 8" is the weight of the handle. For some reason, it is heavier than the one on the 10" pan and a bit too heavy for my liking. On the bright side, it is totally indestructible

Having had Misen carbon steel saute pans since their original Kickstarter campaign I can say with a certain degree of authority that the newer pre-seasoned saute pans are hands down winners. The original pans were good but the latest design with a more comfortable handle and the pre-seasoning has definitely made this nwer iteration even more superior. We love them!!

Yes, this pan really is non-stick. It is great for cooking eggs. I bought the 10” pre seasoned pan. I can cook 4 fried eggs at once with just minor sticking. Clean up is a breeze; I hand wash with Dawn and then towel dry. I wish I had purchased this first instead of trying cheaper pans.

Previously I was using a Corelle Dura Nano pan and bought the Misen to replace it because my food was sticking to the Corelle pan. Turns out I was using spray oil on the Corelle pan and didn't season properly. But now I have two pans to compare and must say that the Misen has a more durable quality. It's heavier and the bottom is wider (than the Corelle). It also comes pre-seasoned from the factory and I could use it from the get go after a quick washing. The usage instructions that they provided are very helpful as well.

I've used the pans a few times now and like them so far, Thanks!

Works as described. Basically non stick with no coating. Perfect choice. Checks all the boxes.

Packaging is premium which usually indicates delivery abuse is minimized. Instructions and included recommendations are breif and concise. The pan itself had zero flaws. As for its function, I have been impressed. I have ordered the remainder of the set, and will most likely order the wok soon. OK now the drawbacks, standard lids do not fit well, but I like the idea of the silicone edge lids. Although backorder of the lids is a bit annoying. That's it, well done Misen

Everything functions as advertised- heats evenly, nothing sticks when using a little oil or butter. Just follow directions & you can't go wrong. I'd been waiting for a pan like this to come on the market. I'm glad I waited. I bought the 8" & 10" & couldn't be happier.

I bought an 8” and a 12” preseasoned pan after much research. I know it will take be a while to adapt to the seasoning process but I am determined to figure it out. Most importantly, I threw out my old teflon coated pans when I realized how unhealthy they are.

This is the best skillet and sure better than the Non stick one I have...

Have not had it long, but it is becoming a favorite. Seasoned well out of the box. I have done a few more seasoning cycles and it's great.
