Leatherman produces great product. I own many current models and all. are used. I still have 2 Juice model that were EDC. This Wingman is a superior model if the handle was less squared off. The wingman handle corners when using pliers cut into my palms. This isnt the Juice which had rounded corners allowing hours of cut feel work.

I was picking out my own birthday present and I chose the Wingman because of the smaller size and the package opener tool. It's easy to use and feels good in the hand, though mine "bit" me a couple of times before I learned how to close the scissors before folding them in.

I've loved and carried this tool and used it pretty much everyday for 11 months. I also have the Rebar but carry this because it has a pocket clip, and didn't get rust spots when I carry it in my pocket like the Rebar did. Unfortunately while trying to pop in plastic tabs on. Sterlite dresser the screwdriver/file/ruler snapped in half. I haven't tried the warranty yet since they require you send it in. But I'm very disappointed. Who would've thought a little plastic tabs would be it's downfall.

I’ve owned an original for years, I believe it had some drawbacks but this new model seems to have improved on all or the majority. I really like the pocket clip among other improvements

I am a huge collection of Leatherman Multi tools and my favorite I find myself carrying all the time is the Wingman. It has a nice size sizers and spring pliers that are PERFECT combo. I highly recommend this model if you’re not sure which one to get first.

I bought my Wingman used off EBay about two years ago. I've bought lots of cheap multi tools over the years(mostly from Walmart) but never carried or used them much. I've carried my Leatherman every day and I probably use it at least a couple of times a week, most recently to tighten the screws on the partially broken latch of a restroom stall door. I use the scissors more than anything, usually to trim my nails or moustache. It's definitely a handy item to have.

I was issued a Gerber multitool when I deployed to Afghanistan in 2004. I bought myself a Leatherman Wave from the PX on Bagram. It’s still with me everyday. The Wingman is a gift for a new Airman who will probably have a similar story a few decades from now.

I love the pliers, the scissors have a locking mechanism that at first made me think they would only cut once. Knife is a knife. Excited for an excuse to use the package opener. I hate those plastic clamshells. Overall good. Havent used any other tools yet.

This is a solidly constructed. It has all the tools I need and very few I won't use. It is comfortable clipped in the pocket and not uncomfortable to hold. It is precisely what I wanted, and for the price I don't believe an alternative of similar quality exists. I recommend you purchase this Leatherman if the tools match your needs. Here are the small annoyances. First, the knife blade could be a third of an inch longer and still fit in the exact same location. I do not understand why it is 2. 35 inch blade instead of a 2. 7 inch one. Second, all of the tools, besides the knife and scissors, open toward the inside, meaning you need to half open the pliers to use them. From looking it seem like a modest design could have had the opening toward the outside, quicker to access. Third, it takes significant pressure to make the wire cutter edges touch. I rarely cut wires, but if you need it for that purpose often, be aware. Do not let those nitpicks dissuade you. While not perfect, this is a good tool for an excellent value. A nice balance for many folks, including me, and maybe you too.
