I have to admit I was skeptical about the Bond. I've carried numerous PST's as well as Rebars, etc over the years. When I got my Bond, I was amazed at how closely it resembled the PST side by side. Not exactly, but you could definitely tell the relationship. After carrying this tool, I've genuinely grown to like it. It's just what Tim Leatherman had in mind way back then. It came out of the box tight, but it loosens up with use. My Rebar was like that. I prefer slightly tight to loose multitools. I think Leatherman's blades are some of the best cutters out there, as well as their files. I've even used the wire stripper. It does a good job! I think if you're looking for a multi tool for the average person, this is a great one. I love how it carries! It's always there, barely noticeable. I installed the pocket clip and it carries so nicely in the pocket too. Leatherman, if you're listening, install scissors like the PST II and you'll have a Champ!

Bought it for my wife who wanted a multitool for herself. We looked at several tools whereby she decided she liked the features the Bond had to offer. So far, she hasn't used it but she really likes it.

Gave it to my dad as a Christmas present, he loves it and has already used it several times. It's got some nice basic tools on it. The customization turned out great as well. I prefer the type where the knife is on the outside for easier access but he doesn't seem to mind.

Love it, it's as close to the retro 80's 90's leatherman as can get really, slim and sleek. Comes stiff, as expected, but after little use it breaks in nicely.

When I say unreasonably hard to open, please understand that I have a number of Leatherman multi-tools and pocket knives, they are EDC for me. I have years of experience with them and love them all. I worked this one in like all the others but it made zero difference. I had to buy some knurled nut tools and back them off on both ends one half to one full turn to get the hinges and tools to move with a reasonable amount of resistance. It's working fine now and I'll tighten it back up as it wears in over the years, but for the money it should just work right out of the box. Sending it back is a big hassle and buying special tools to make it work right, well. . . Materials are top notch but I marked Quality only as "OK" because of a seemingly absent quality check, maybe a lack of spot or lot testing. Carry on.

Nice aesthetics, including the seath. Not as user friendly as tools seem to get stuck. Perhaps with use they loose themselves a bit. Quality-wise, it is made of long-lasting materials.

Bond is an excellent mid-size multi tool. It has basic essentials for tools, fits in your hand, does not do laundry, is not a Smart device, but will work without electricity. I would buy again.

Love the customization, it’s exactly as I set it. However, straight out the box it is extremely difficult to open and close the tool itself as well as the micro-tools within it. It’s kind of like everything was shoved tightly in the tool and it takes away from ease of movement or use.
