Good solid multi tool but the black coloring was scratched up on receiving and I got the wrong color pocket clip to go with it. The packaging was fine im not sure where the scratches came from

Perfect all around tool. It’s been on my belt since I moved into my house. I prefer to use the sheath instead of keeping in my pocket due to the weight. It’s bulkier than my Skeletool CX which is why it’s mainly used at home. I mainly use the knives, pliers, flat head/pry tool and bits. The tool feels solid and fits perfectly in my hand. Great quality as always from Leatherman. I bought it when it was on sale for $100 and couldn’t pass up that deal.

The gold standard of multi tools. Awesome quality highly recommended. Wave is a jack of all trades if you are looking to carry just 1 tool this is the one, tools on the inside and outside. I ordered the black oxide, if you are customizing or adding graphics this is the way to go. Also I would recommend the optional pocket clip if you ever will carry in your pocket with the $6 investment

Nice multi tool. Feels like quality & the craftsman ship is on point. Once broke In it moves/opens/closes and functions with ease. Paired with the extension and bit set, you should be able to accomplish any light duty task with ease with this tool.

We have a tradition of giving our grandchildren a Leatherman for their 10th birthday. My wife added a little bling to the Wave for our granddaughter’s gift, and found an appropriate purse.

I have used a Gerber for 20 years but I decided to take a look at Leatherman and I’m glad I did. This is a quality tool! I looked closely at many tools and this is the best overall for EDC! Wish it would have come with the pocket clip though. Good to know it’s covered for if anything breaks!

I have been carrying leathermans for over 20 years and I won’t carry anything else I am a fixer of anything that is broke and I feel naked without my leatherman this new wave+ is my favorite so far with the removable pocket clip and the removable bits and precision built feel and comfort to the hand I find myself just pulling it out of my pocket to hold.

Just received my new Wave. First impression is that it’s remarkably heavy. Much too heavy to carry in the pocket. The “User’s Guide” is a joke. Each function guide seems to only be three or four words for each tool and a drawing. Could have just said, “figure it out yourself”. Tool seems well made and versatile. We’ll soon see.

The tool is super handy and performs as expected. However the jaws are so stiff they need two hands to spread the jaws apart. So it is going to take some time to break the jaws in enough so that they move freely even using penetrating oils. Which is sort of inconvenient needing to manually open the pliers jaws especially if you don’t have the space or extra hand to do so. It is inconvenient now, however the problem should go away with time. All the other tools work as expected and the knives are very sharp. A great tool just needs some work on the tolerances.

It is working ok expect for a couple problems. The bit driver became too easy to to open after using it once so I had to tighten it a little. The blade can be difficult to open and it's not just that it needs "broken in" because everything else it broken in well enough. It seems to have to do with when the bolt it pivots around moves. It can get so hard to open that I need to use two hands.

I’m pretty impressed with the wave plus. The knife is sharper than any other knife I have purchased. I give it a 4 star only because I broke the tip off of the bottle opener the second day I owned it.
