Makes changing disc a quicker process and the added benefit of not worrying about a wrench to take off the nut. You can easily remove the nut with your hand.

So this is really good for flap Wheels and grinding discs, but not so good for cut off wheels. The thickness and diameter of the big nut limits where you can get the cutoff disc in use.
As long as you understand this limitation, it's fantastic.
I have two of them on two different grinders. Both grinders needed to have a custom spacer machined between the grinder and the abrasive because the ID of the grinder is smaller than the ID of the abrasive and the spacer sleeve was built into the previous nut. When using this nut, there is no spacer sleeve so something has to take up that space or the disc will not be centered. I have a lathe, so it wasn't a big deal to make what I needed but for most people this might render the solution useless unless you're using 5/8 ID abrasives only.
