Some stuff is really stubborn and not even the wire wheel does the job fast enough. These wheels can do those jobs. Even if you hit the edge of a piece of steel, these won't come apart. Amazing!

The general theme I've found with Benchmark Abrasives is a great price-to-performance ratio. I've always favored SAIT brand cutting and grinding products from United Abrasives. Their gear is amazing, but you definitely pay for it. In general, I still find UA products to perform a little better than BA stuff which can sometimes justify the added cost. But not when it comes to these babies! While I very slightly prefer the performance of Sait-Strip disks, that tiny advantage is not worth paying more than TRIPLE the price of these Benchmark Abrasives disks. Buy these things all day every day with confidence. These purple extra-coarse disks are too harsh for softer materials like stainless. Reserve them for cleaning up your nastiest carbon steel. They eat surface rust, scale, and grime off hard metals like a champ!

Stripping paint can get pricey, so finding some of the better ways to strip down to better metal without gouging the steel too much. These are them, durability is pretty high on smooth surfaces. Price is way better and quality.

Wears like iron, cuts through mill scale and paint. Removes welding splatter and rust with little wear to the outer edges. Outer edge doesn't shred apart when contacting a sharp burr or edge when finishing metal. These have outperformed the big name brands with far less cost. Must have. Independent reviewer.

Very effective product for paint and rust removal. Discs are consumed quickly, but they are extremely effective for paint and rust removal and other surface prep. Buy more than 1 pack becuase you will find many uses for this product. Great price too!

Great for removing paint, bondo/body filler and cleaning up surface rust. Not too aggressive on metal. I use these for body work on my project cars. They last longer than sanding discs and can get into areas where a sanding disc won't work as well (ridged areas, drip edges, etc). Makes the job quick.
