Love the way my hair looks after washing with this! I also like the two products you use to follow up and the scalp brush feels great. I don’t think the pre-treatment does anything for me, so I don’t plan to keep using it but otherwise, I love this kit.

I expected a dramatic difference but I didn’t see much of a difference. Certainly not enough to warrant the extra cost of the product. Also it takes a lot of product to wash my hair. Maybe I didn’t pick the right product option to try?

I started with New Wash (Original) and immediately noticed several things I really liked: my hair felt soft, calm, and well cared for, and my scalp felt comfortable. I also followed the full routine carefully, including the pre-wash technique and the leave-in protective spray afterward (which I really like). However, despite these positives, my hair started to look oily the very next day — something that normally only happens to me after about three days. This was surprising, especially since I used the recommended amounts, rinsed very thoroughly, and had reduced my washing frequency before switching to New Wash. After reaching out to customer service, they asked thoughtful, detailed questions about my hair type and routine. That’s when we identified moderately hard water in my region (about 7.5 dH) as the likely cause. Hard water can make it difficult to fully cleanse the hair and can even block moisture, causing hair to feel both oily and dry at the same time. Based on this, they recommended trying New Wash Deep. I agreed to this in trust — and I’m very glad I did. The Deep version works excellent for me: my hair now feels truly clean, light, and balanced, without the next-day greasiness. For context: I have fine, shoulder-length blonde hair, a normal scalp, use a blow dryer almost daily and a straightener a few times per week, and normally wash my hair 1–2 times per week. Big plus for the customer service: personal, knowledgeable, transparent, and genuinely helpful. If you have fine hair and live in a hard- or moderately hard-water area, New Wash Deep is definitely worth considering.

The first wash was wonderful and got my hair light and fluffy and very clean, then the second and third washes left behind a greasy film I couldn't get rid of, no matter how long I massaged the products into my hair.

Love the product, HATE the smell. I purchased the Healthiest Hair Method set and added the Bond Serum as well to my order based on a survey I completed before ordering. I love the prewash and the new wash combination and can tolerate the smell from those two, but the primer and bond serum smells are absolutely awful that I can't even use them. Unfortunately I waited too long to attempt a partial refund for those two products, so I'm stuck with them. I haven't decided if I love the prewash and new wash enough to continue using them after I finish the bottles so I'm still on the fence. I have a lot of medium/fine wavy hair down to my waist.

New Wash is the GOAT! But, the other two products don’t cut it. Pre-Wash was unusable…. it immediately caused a bad reaction for me, systemically, as though I had been exposed to something toxic that was absorbed quickly through the scalp. As for Primer, there was no “bad reaction”, but I didn’t sense that it did anything beneficial. Tried it on wet vs. dry hair, applying varying amounts, combing through vs. finger scrunching, etc. It did nothing.

NO, did not agree with my hair. Had to immediately stop using it as my hair was shedding immensely. Have still got 2 semi packets, etc. etc left. So, so scared to use. In my case, loss of money. I am now using sulphate-free Element products strongly advised by my regular hairdresser. Cannot 100 percent confirm your products caused my major probs which have settled and I am now, in addition, taking a supplement, to try to get my hair back to itself. It is certainly improving quickly, however, cannot ever use Hairstory in case it fully caused this. Sorry, but frightening for me. I have a super good diet so do not think there was anything there to contribute. I am well of myself.

It’s ok. It’s very lotion-ey, and doesn’t really lather well in my opinion and I have to use a lot since my hair is below my shoulder blades so don’t think it will last very long. It does seem to help with oiliness, but it says you should be able to brush through the hair after, but it makes mine super tangly. I wouldn’t buy again.

Love the bundles! The cleanser is one of my favorites, makes my scalp and hair feel so fresh and ready for washing, and of course the New Wash is amazing. Only with the primer wasn't such a fine spray mist.

My life is forever changed after using Hairstory! I love it so much! My hair is soft and shiny and smells great for days! I used to have to wash my hair about every two days, but now I can go 4 days! And I have a little bit of gray, not much but this has softened my gray hairs too and they blend in much better! I’m hooked!!

I was thrilled to find a new kind of system that helped me cleanse my scalp and saved me time in the shower, but it took me weeks to figure out if I was using too much or not enough product, and I just don’t have the time or money to navigate that right now. I want to like the system, I just can’t afford to keep experimenting.
