I’m obsessed with Sage and Black Tea 🖤 It’s calming, mysteriously alluring, and totally unique! I keep catching myself smelling my wrist and clothes all day... it's sooo good! My 17 yr old son loves it too & asked the price because he wants to wear it himself. It’s elegant, soft, and perfectly gender-neutral. I’ve already used so much in a week & am seriously considering buying a backup bottle. I usually love tea, bergamot, sage, and herbal/aromatic smells (Dossier's Citrus Tea is my absolute favorite). I love the top notes of Sage & Black Tea Renew--I get lots of delicate tea (maybe slightly fermented) with spices. I want to love it, but the more I try with this fragrance, the more I smell overwhelmingly coriander and dirt. The delicate tea top notes vanish quickly, leaving a strong herbal/aromatic, spiced bitters tincture sort of smell with zero sweetness (or possibly memories of the olfactory affront of walking into a Pier 1 Imports store as a child). Then the mid notes disappear in an hour on me, leaving only faint, spicy wood with zero sweetness that lingers more than 5 hours and smells mostly like dirt to me. I tried layering this with Woody Sage or Ambery Tuberose, but this fragrance only cut all the sweetness and added dirt. I will be returning this with gratitude for Dossier's return policy.

This is afternoon tea. The spice is mild. There is a slight berry scent. This is the freshest tea scent when it fully dries down.

Sage & Black Tea is strong, green, astringent and crisp. It starts out like a cup of very strong black tea, when the fresh sage leaf comes in as if floating up from the bottom of the cup. The sage presents like aromatic herbs when you rub the leaf between your fingers to release the fragrant oil. It is powerful and refreshing. Things stay at this intensity for half an hour or so. The drydown has a period of tannic bitterness overtaking everything else. Like when tea is steeped too long and begins to taste unpleasant. It’s intense to the point of producing a note like burning rubber, like when an old vacuum got tangled with hair and burned the black rubber belt. If you can stomach that, there is a less offensive smoky earthy green again on the other side. Very unique scent, leans masculine.

This starts off warm and balanced and moves to an earthy, grounded middle. Unfortunately, as it resolves into the last notes (the ones that stick around all day) it becomes a dirty (think dirt, not "earthy"). I mixed it with Powdery Jasmine for a sweet lift and they rounded each other out, but I wouldn't use this as a standalone perfume.

The only original I can give 5 stars. The primary note is black tea. Very strong in the best way. If you love tea fragrances this is a great one for you. Black tea for sure, the sage is there on the dry down. I could wear this all day and night. Perfect for vacation or an unexpected scent for date night.

This smells so good. Initially smelled like sweet lemon tea, then it changed and other notes start peeling through. Really is refreshing and revived my mood. Gonna keep this one in my work bag so that I can reapply throughout the day.
