Overall: I purchased 5 perfumes from Dossier. The packing is really nice, still feels high quality and looks amazing on my dresser with my other fragrances. I love the magnetic cap, it is so satisfying to use and the bottle fits nicely in my hand. The mist is very nice and sprays very well. I do not own any of the originals, so I am judging the perfumes on scent and quality of this brand alone. For this Scent: Woody Chestnut is really nice, but it's definitely something I would only wear on occasion. It does smell like the wood paneled family room my parents have at their house. Add the holiday candles my mom usually burns around Christmas and you have this exact smell. For me it's nostalgic, but not my favorite. If you like a heavy Woody scent this is your jam. 4/5 compared to the other scents I had purchased.

This smells amazing! It's so strong and smoky and fluffy. I wear this when I want the ultimate feeling of comfort. I think some people prefer to wear it in the winter only, but in the summer, I feel like I'm at a campfire! It's great for year-round wear.

Bought this for my mom after she loved the sample of By The Fireplace she'd gotten. She's loved it and so has her husband. She doesn't wear fragrance every day and sometimes still wears her Red Door but after only 4 months, she's almost through the bottle. Definitely going to buy for her again at her birthday.

This smell is so gorgeous. It is slightly different from By the Fireplace but so warm and perfect for a fall/winter scent. It doesn't last as long as the original but still a great value and I would buy it again!

I always thought this scent was too smoky for me… I was wrong. This is one of those smoky vanilla scents that you can’t stop thinking about and want to smell constantly. Woody chestnut is the perfect way to describe it. It’s definitely one of the Dossier scents that SMELLS BETTER THAN the scent it’s based on. And the longevity is better, too(!!!) This is one that everyone keeps spraying when they come over. I keep walking into the scent near where I keep it and wondering where that came from - Oop -someone sprayed it again lol
