I bought this having never smelled the original, with no idea of what "fougere" meant and having never smelt oud. In light of that, it's a nice fragrance that makes me happy to wear! And it lasts for a long time on my skin.

I have never smelled the Tom Ford version, however, this is a wonderful spicy perfume that tends to lean a little more masculine. I had a guy friend smell all of my perfumes from this company and he picked this one as his favorite. Definitely can be a crowd pleaser with men. I also think this is perfect for date night, especially in the fall and winter. Might be a little too strong for your every day perfume, but wear what you want. 😜

beautiful scent. More than any I've tired from Dossier, it seems truly unisex. it's probably the least feminine of the scents I have. I wouldn't get it if you're worried about it being too masculine. Even Powdery Tobacco is easier to wear as a woman than this. However it doesn't seem like a fragrance for men. It's really middle of the road. The scent is strong but neither traditionally masculine nor feminine. It's really nice, though! I think I might share it with my husband. He likes it on me. Great for fall/winter.

I adore the scent of the Fourgere Oud edt I received. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to "stick" to my skin. I estimate it fades within 2 hrs at the most. I've decided to apply it lightly on my shirts instead, where it lingers a little longer. I was hoping Fourgere Oud would be my next signature aroma, but no luck so far.

I get a lot of patchouli up front from this fragrance. It settles into a nice, soft oud note after some time has passed eventually becoming a lovely soft, sweet and understated scent. I'm not a patchouli fan myself, but something about this fragrance really appeals to me after I've worn it for a few hours.......I've never used the word 'gentle' for a fragrance before but that is what this one becomes, in time. If you like patchouli you should just love this one!

First off, this is a very nice scent. It's very comforting and close to the body, and smells like walking through a forest. However, patchouli is the strongest note in this one in my opinion, and if you don't LOVE patchouli you might want to try a different scent. It's not super sweet and I would say it tends more toward masculine, but I love it for me and I layer it with the woody chestnut to give it a bit sweeter profile.

I always wanted to try this Tom Ford cologne, but couldn't get myself to pay the crazy prices it demands. I was very glad to see that Dossier offered an alternative. The scent seems spot on compared to what I smelled in the department stores. It is a very polarizing scent... in that people either hate it or love it. I get it now. I really like it for the unique blend of pipe tobacco, pepper, and a slight citrus sweetness. I guarantee you haven't smelled this combo before. Highly recommend it. Thanks Dossier!

Smells like expensive wood on the front. Then settles into a sweet, almost nutry scent that sits close to the skin all day. I really enjoy it. It is TRULY unisex. The dry down on me is very feminine, but that could vary due to body chemistry.

This smells extremely close to the original. Their Tom Ford dupes are pretty spot-on, which says a lot, considering the price. This is a unique fragrance, so I recommend smelling the original somewhere first, in case you don’t like the style.

I'm female, and prefer unisex fragrances. I loved Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, and these fragrance notes, so I felt confident making a blind buy. It's much drier than I'd expected but I still like it. Smells wonderful on my son.
