This fits in great with my Naval and Marine Corps service memorabilia in my home office. The mask was in great shape, and the "deadly" NBC filter was intact, with no dents or dings to leach asbestos. Once I get a head, I am going to mount him along with the US MCU-2P I wore in OIF in 2003. APA has never failed me once in their merchandise or customer service. I'm impressed! Keep up the OUTSTANDING work APA!!!

This is a great deal on a gp-5 kit, especially since the mask is in absolute perfect condition. I will say however, being a gas mask enthusiast, that the filter I got was not a dangerous original soviet filter (Olive drab colored), but a modern (ish) French filter (Black, like seen in the product photo) made in 2009 that was completely safe to use. You should check if the filter you got is original soviet or modern French because the modern filter won't fit into the GP-5 , as it is NATO threaded. The old Soviet filters only came wrapped in wax paper, while the modern filter is sealed in a plastic bag.

The mask I received works perfectly and was even in my size. Even though it is over 50 years old it is still able to make a gas tight seal and all of the valves work. Oddly enough I received a modern French CBRN filter instead of an old Soviet Union GOST filter with this mask, but that’s not a complaint.
