if you’re looking for a slow filter, this one is definitely for you! the lowest setting does start off a bit powerful, but it slows down after a few weeks!

Nice flow control but can still but a strong. Perfect size for my nano tank. Quality is there but it’s sometimes a struggle with it picking up sand and making a shuttle grinding sound

I ordered this hob filter a few weeks ago and have been using it in my tank for about a week and it was great for the first few days but I'm very disappointed to say now the motor is really loud. I tried everything and it still sounds awful :(

This filter has disappointed me and lowered my opinion of BucePlant recommendations. Set up and installed per limited instructions included, it makes significantly more noise than the Marineland Penguin A I bought it to replace. As for how well it works: I can't comment on that because I yanked it after a day to get some peace and quiet. I'm already shopping for another replacement but will be buying only plant material from BP from now on.

have a 3 gallon aquarium I picked up as a shrimp only aquarium and have had the worst luck with filters on it until now. Never have I had an HOB so quiet. It’s perfect.

it’s just what i needed. has enough room for a mesh bag of crushed coral just like i wanted it for and doesn’t take up too much space. the water flow adjuster doesn’t seem to work though. idk if i’m doing something wrong but i don’t see a difference when i twist it. it’s not a deal breaker though. i didn’t even know it had that ability to begin with when buying it.

It functions perfectly. It's the most silent filter I've ever used and witnessed. The water flow into the tank is controlled easily with the knob at the top. The water is designed to come out silently. ( This also looks aesthetically pleasing for rimless/lidless ) The intake sponge is all around animal/fish safe.

This filter is very quiet but powerful! I like how it has a sponge over the intake tube to protect smaller fish/shrimp who like less flow.
