It is totally spill proof which is the point of the cup. It was sideways in my bag as I traveled on the bus and train and it never once spilled. Though after having it for only a week the handle of the cup has gone yellow. It also chipped immediately (before using) and I only hand washed it. I also love the silicon straw but it’s so large you cannot find a straw cover to cover it so it is now an in house cup because I don’t like putting it in my bag without a cover. And that defeats the purpose of it being spill proof (again which it is!)

I literally the straw doesn’t stay in and there is a terrible issue with air coming through, making noises and not a good seal. Never get this style top again

The color in person is a bit more of a purplish blue where in pics it's a bit more blue with a hint of teal. However, the cup is FANTASTIC! I love that I can essentially "turn it off" as my toddler says and he can't drink all my water when I'm not looking.

I’m not sure what I expected when ordering a 40 ounce cup but it was bigger than I expected. The color was so much brighter and prettier in person. Pictures don’t do it justice. The color, the style, the feel of this cup is great! I also love the ceramic coating and that you can seal the straw for no leaks. One tiny drawback is that suction to the straw seems to be a little bit hard because the of the sealing function… I wonder if they could develop some kind of better way to do this? I anlso love the soft rubber bottom so it doesn’t make a clanging sound when you set it down. Other than that this has been the perfect summer cup to help me stay hydrated!

I bought this primarily for the color and secondly, the leak proof lid. I absolutely love both but I give it 4 stars because the pressure in the cup is REAL. You have to try real hard to get your drink through the straw so I feel like it's a bit of a battle. I do like the ease of making it leak proof!

Only had it for a week but so far I love it! The color is stunning! I love that the straw slides up and down to lock. I tilt it upside down in the locked position and not one drop of water came out! I love that because of this I can throw it in my bag and not worry about it spilling. The straw and lid are top rack dishwasher safe so when it comes to cleaning it I put those in the dish washer and hand wash the bottle. I only use it for water and so far it keeps it nice and cold!

This cup is beautiful! I have the original design of the simply modern and this signature version is so nice! It has a locking mechanism for the straw to make it totally leak proof, the handle has been upgraded, and the straw is silicone which I definitely prefer.
