The bobbin mechanism was dysfunctional out of the box. Had to take it to a repair shop to even sew my first seam. Never quite got it to work well after that. Terrible on delicate fabric. Save yourself the time and buy a baby lock machine instead

I bought it as a gift and it did not work at first. It was like it was not plugged in. I was ready to return it when i found the problem. A piece of foam packaging was stuck in where the plug goes so I was not getting any power connection. I removed the obstruction and plugged it back in. It works fine.

I have always used a singer machine and my old machine was a heavy duty school model. The light on this machine is not bright enough. I need additional light to see as good as my old machine. This one has the needle threader but haven't been able to get this feature to work. I found that the dial for stitch does not line up with marks on the machine. It doesn't click on selected stitches so have to play with it to find stitch want. I am not a beginner so that isn't the issue and my old machine had several stitch selections. The manual had to print out and not much to it but not everyone has a computer to be able to do this. Manual should come with machine and just covers basics and again not everyone has access to on line videos. This one I selected for the more powerful motor for sewing heavier fabrics and leather. It is quieter than old machine and smaller. Had a lot of accessories that came with it and I like the extension table. Bought from you for the 10% rebate but think been better off from store so could have some things explained in person and able to ask questions and tips instead of watching a video.

My husband bought this machine at the end of august. I didn’t open it till one month later. Used it for approximately a week and a half. When threaded and trying to bring the thread up from the bottom constantly hooks to the side of the bobbin case. I sew up to 9 hours per day and need a reliable machine.

this machine is smooth and the stitching is perfect. love how easy it is to manage with the clear knobs and marked dials at the top. it's actuallly a lot lighter that i had expected which is another plus. definitely recommend.

Well I bought this machine August 7. Already had to return it because it was stuck in reverse the support department tried to get it to work to no avail. so probably not fair to review since I haven’t really sewn anything. I was however very disappointed since Ive always had a Singer machine. Well the other lasted 25 years I sure this new one when I get the replacement last as well.

Beginner sewer and mostly for outdoor furniture covers and basic furniture upholstery. This was a nice upgrade from what I had been using. Fast, powerful enough. Great array of stitches and accessories for the work I do. Drop in bobbin threading is a little more work than it seems it should be - also automatic needle threaded is pretty useless. I have to put on glasses to see the hooks, so at that point I can just as easily thread the needle.

I love my Singer sewing machine. I think the aesthetic is really nice, which makes it fun to use. It’s a timeless look. The motor is strong, and it works well with all the feet that were included. I’ve been working on various projects so I use it almost every day.

Noisier than I thought it would be, not like the old black ones! It doesn't come with a presser foot that is great for18" seam allowance. All and all it seems to be a good machine for the money. Heay duty as far as a domestic machine goes!

Love this machine. Got it to replace my Singer Athena 2000 which I had for over 30 years. I needed a heavy duty machine to sew jeans and this works very well. Can sew over the seams with ease. You cannot go wrong with this one I highly recommend and it was a great price.

First, the good. This machine feels sturdy, built to an expected standard and comes with a number of accessories that would be add-ons in the 44xx series. The color and the included accessories are the only tangible differences between the machines. The number of stitches available is nice, but definitely overkill for my work. Now, the medium. Heavy duty is definitely a marketing term. This is more of a "durable home machine". I knew this going in, but is still worth noting. As a result, there are some issues of stitch consistency if you are using this on thicker fabrics. You must use proper technique to get the results you desire. The new machine will showcase lack of ability. Lastly, the bad/ugly. This machine has a straight stitch setting that will NOT stitch straight. I expected more from the most popular brand and a heavy duty machine. It does not matter which presser foot, what needle (name brand or other), the speed, the tension, the fabric, and every other variable i could think of. The straight stitches are Always at a slant. Further issues arise with the consistency of the feed dogs. Setting a stitch length seems to mean nothing. I get wildly inconsistent spacing regardless of the feed method I use. The two most basic features of a sewing machine (straight stitch and consistent stiches) are non-existent with my particular 6380 unit. Worse than that is the customer support. When i reached out regarding my straight stitch issues, i had to spend more than a week going back and forth via email while tech support made me go through their troubleshooting checklist line by line before acknowledging they had no idea why my machine wasn't working as intended. After admitting they didn't know how to help me, I was passed back to a customer service representative to ask for a return/refund. That was over a week ago now that i reached out to customer service with the request and have yet to hear back. So now i have a paperweight of a machine and a very sour taste for singer in my mouth. Your mileage may vary, but i'm now stuck with having wasted money and looking at other brands of machines.
