I LOVE this brand and I expected this product to have staying power. After several tests, I found this liner to flake, rub, or crack within an hour or two, unlike the waterproof black felt tip Stila liner pen, that is my favorite go to. My advice would be this, 1) apply near the time as your event. 2) bring pen for touch ups. Also ... I don't like that they direct you to store the pen vertically after opening, this is not very travel friendly
