I am used to a machine that makes my coffee at home and I love crema on top of my coffee. This really worked and I think the coffee was equally good if not better than my expresso machine. It was so easy to clean up as well. Being a novice with Aeropress this control filter cap really helped me control my press and I had great results.

I quite like this thing. You can brew a short coffee that's slightly closer to an espresso, though the crema is more of a froth than a thick foam. It's a bit more difficult to clean, as the filter tends to stick in the cap instead of staying with the puck. Overall it's good, but not perfect Thank you for your review. An easy way to remove the paper filter is to use the end of your stirrer to gently brush the paper filter off of the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap. Once it has begun to peel away from the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap, the paper filter will be easier to remove. We hope this helps. Best wishes, Constance, AeroPress, Inc.

I purchased an aeropress as a gift for my husband after having multiple cups of coffee brewed by a friend's press. I am excited to attempt the "espresso-like foam" that the metal filter is said to be able to produce. This will be a gift I will benefit from as well. :)
