My less than a year old granddaughter will be visiting Hawaii with her parents in May and I wanted her to be protected without messy sunscreen. She had a smaller hat when she was only a few weeks old to protect her in her hiking back pack. Pairing the hat with a full SwimZip jumpsuit.

I was going between this hat and the one without the long flap in the back. I ended up going with this one for more protection, even though I thought the other would look better. Glad I went with this one for our active 12 mo. old! It still looked super cute and even though he fussed with it at first, he got comfortable quickly with it on and didn’t grab at it. I like the draw string that keeps it snug under the chin, as well as the draw string that tightens the rim around his head. This company does great with its designs and swim gear that parents can really appreciate. I will be a return customer.

I love the design of this hat! It gives wonderful coverage, and the fact that the back “flaps” down makes it so that my son was able to wear it the other day with his coat on (with hood on, no less) while riding in the stroller when I wanted us to get out for a walk. Didn’t interfere with his coat hood or being able to sit back. Fantastic!
