Latin America Blend | Light-Medium Roast | Peru + Colombia + Guatemala | 12 oz & 5 lb
Some coffees are just coffee. This one is a conversation.
Machu Magic is a blend born from three countries, countless hands, and one unwavering belief: that the people who grow your coffee deserve as much as the people who drink it.
At Hola Coffee, we're a Latina woman-owned company rooted right here in Minneapolis and our roots run deep into the highlands of Latin América. Every bag of Machu Magic represents our long-standing relationships with smallholder farmers and cooperatives in Peru, Colombia, and Guatemala: communities where coffee isn't just a crop, it's a lifeline.
We source intentionally. We pay fairly. We show up for the people behind every bean, because community isn't just our value, it's our practice. From their farms to your cup, this coffee carries a story worth savoring.
Flavor notes of Citrus, Cacao & Whipped Cream. Fully washed. Light roast. Available in whole bean or ground.
MEET MACHU MAGIC
We don't just source coffee, we build relationships. The three origins in Machu Magic each represent a community we've invested in over time, and whose craft shows up in every sip.
OUR PERUVIAN BEANS — Cajamarca Region
Peru has all the conditions necessary to produce world-class coffee: high elevation, premier Arabica varieties, and a quality-focused movement among smallholder growers, especially in cooperatives practicing organic husbandry. We seek a softer profile here: cocoa, lemon, toffee, caramel, almond, and soft fruit like plum or sweet cherry. These are the growers the world is just beginning to recognize, and we're proud to stand with them.
Process: Washed | Varieties: Catimor, Caturra, Bourbon, Typica
Elevation: 1600–1900 MASL | Harvest: May–October
OUR COLOMBIAN BEANS — Huila Region (Gran Galope Program)
Gran Galope is more than a sourcing program, it's a commitment. It allows us to buy more and pay more for high-quality coffees from the hardworking men and women who operate ethical micro-farms across Colombia. These Excelso grade coffees are sourced from 10–30 smallholder farmers per lot, cupped for their balance of sweetness, fruity effervescence, and cocoa-toffee foundation, and traceable to the region.
Process: Washed | Varieties: Castillo, Caturra, Colombia
Elevation: 1400–2000 MASL | Harvest: Oct–Dec (Main), Jun–Aug (Fly Crop)
OUR GUATEMALAN BEANS — Huehuetenango Region (Waykan)
"Waykan" means "star, or light that shines in the sky at night" in the Maya Q'qnjobal dialect , and these beans live up to the name. The indigenous population in and around Huehuetenango has cultivated coffee for generations, and coffee accounts for roughly 80% of the local economy. We source these beans as an act of solidarity as much as quality. Their crisp acidity, reminiscent of lemon, grape, or apple, balanced by toffee and sweet almond, is what makes Machu Magic truly shine.
Process: Washed | Varieties: Bourbon, Catimor, Caturra, Maragogype, Pache
Elevation: 1400–2200 MASL | Harvest: December–May
Our approach to sourcing has always been rooted in relationships. Long-standing partnerships with farmer partners across Latinoamérica that have grown into some of our most intentional, impactful work. When you choose Machu Magic, you're part of that too.
