I learned how to sharpen on a mini keychain version of this that came in a Battlebox. For about three years. I even learned how to slowly do kitchen knives with that tiny little bit. I finally decided I need an upgrade I could still carry with me hiking around. This one fit the bill perfectly. I have gotten every full knife within my reach razor sharp with this little system. I’m working my way up to the precision adjust just haven’t gotten there yet. Maybe this summer. This isn’t just a great brand, they are the best. Just buy one and be happy. Only reason I’m not using my tiny one I mentioned is someone took it. Still was working great. Even has T-bits.. loved it.
