I had found the original Wool & Cashmere Shampoo about 3 years ago, and as a knitter, I fell in love with it. Everything I washed came out so soft and the scent was not only amazing, but long lasting. I was sad when the original formulation was recalled, and then joyful when the new formulation was announced. I jumped on it, washed my first load of hand knits, and. . . sigh, was disappointed. It still works great in terms of cleaning and the softness of the items, but the scent is just not the same. It's very light, and honestly, even though the new formulation is supposed to be concentrated, I find I still have to use the same amount I used to with the older one. Basically really miss that fabulous scent I fell in love with. It is barely there, and as such, it certainly doesn't last. Please bring back the intensity that the original formulation had - it's the only thing missing!

I LOVE is product! The difference between this and dry cleaned cashmere is day and night. Cashmere comes out so soft and fluffy after washing with this shampoo. Also the light cedar scent is mild and lovely. The bottle I just got is the new clear formula, I haven't tried it yet, but before purchasing I checked with The Laundress and was assured that it is basically the same if not better. As noted this is my third bottle and I've been using it for about 12-15 years and you only have to use a small amount. A ton of savings compared to dry cleaning. I wash like colors on the cold / delicate setting of my front load washer and reshape and rack dry.

The fragrance isn't too strong, and the product was easy to use. I hand-washed my wool cardigans in preparation for the upcoming chilly season, and now they smell great and were nice and soft.

I’ve just tried the Wool & Cashmere Wash for the first time and once again, The Laundress does not disappoint! I definitely see a difference in the appearance of my sweater, having used conventional dry cleaning in the past. I also love how fresh it smells and the “soft hand” feeling of my sweater . I used to take all of my sweaters to the dry cleaners. They were itchy and I couldn't stand the dry cleaner smell. I decided to try washing my sweaters with the wool and cashmere shampoo.
