This is a perfect bag! Its kept my things dry, and its very comfortable to wear. The laptop pocket fits my MacBook perfectly. The bag is a lot deeper than I expected. The side pockets are deep enough where my water bottles wont fall out. The blue color is really pretty as well!

I bought the roan with plans of using it when I’m in uniform. That’s why I chose the green. It is a nice size easily an overnight bag. The back has a nice textured pad for your back. The straps are sturdy and padded. The “drink” pockets on either side are a stretchy material instead of the more normally seen netting. It feels like a really quality material and I’m looking forward to see if it holds up better than the netting. I like the carry loop at the top. There is also a hidden pocket on here that was a nice little touch. My only complaint is I don’t see a designated water bladder spot. I do a lot of hiking and it would have been nice to have a spot to put one and not also have to carry a secondary camel back. I noticed on the back dead center is an opening that could be used to pull your hose through but there is no place inside to hang the bladder so you would just have to let it crumple to the bottom of the inside pocket. I will likely just bring bottles with this bag. I feel like for me it limits me to shorter excursions (or a second bag for a camel back). However, this bag is very well made very light and sturdy. I’m excited about getting out on the trails and throwing it around a bit to see how it holds up! Was worth it. Just gotta figure out which hammock to pack. :)

Well constructed and has pockets in all the right places. I like the versatility of the roll top allowing for expansion and contraction as needed.

I like the roll top as it gives no entry point for rain. The other nice features are the stow-able waist strap (keeps dangling strap from catching on branches) and the magnetic clasp on the chest strap (very easy one handed removal). The rope carry handle is plenty sturdy for hanging while full and big enough for large hands. The side mesh pockets are big enough for a tall Nalgene yet stay close fitting when empty. The only suggestion I would make is to put a few more attachment points (2 on front and four on bottom) to make it easier to carry a rolled up jacket and unused poles. Or perhaps a double strap closure up top with extra webbing length could serve the same purpose?
