I LOVE this. You don't need to use a lot and it smells REALLY good. Just did my own retwist and it looks so good. Even tho the twists get dry, the roots still look moisturized. No white buildup or flakes, and it's holding up. It'll def be my go to. Only thing I'll complain about is shipping time

Lion Locs moisturizer is great for my locs. Moisturizes without being sticky. Light enough to use daily. I'm not sure about the build up since I've only used it less than a week. I used the normal. I didn't use for a retie on my sisterlocs. I just used for a braid out and it has held up for a few days. Sill going strong.

This is a very lightweight moisturizing gel. It has a pleasant, light scent and leaves no residue, flakes, or buildup. It makes my locs soft, and even though it's lightweight, it holds retwists extremely well. 10/10 for me.

I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this product. It was a happy accident that I came across it in my research. I was looking for something that kept my hair moisturized and healthy and it did not disappoint me. It’s lightweight, with a nice smell and left my hair shiny and nearly frizz free. Also, there was no flaking or residue. My scalp is sensitive and I’m glad there was no negative reaction from use. Looking forward to using it again.

I’ve had locs before, but my current set are by far the thickest semi freeforms I’ve ever had. I was stressing for so long trying to find a product that would keep my hair thoroughly moisturized, I mist my locs every day, but even when they’re drenched it seems to not be enough. I stumbled across Lion Locs on accident after running out of the moisturizer I was using at the time, right around hurricane Beryl..literally changed my life. This was the first and only product that left my hair feeling like it received the care it needed. I can moisturize my locs every other day and they still feel soft in between light mists. I haven’t had the money/resources to consistently invest in my loc journey as much as I would like to, but Lion Locs is an affordable product that deserves all of the praise people could give it. I genuinely wish I could do more to prove this review is authentic. To the makers of this product, thank you for making something with phenomenal ingredients that truly feels like it’s made FOR locs. There is no buildup with this product at all either, and it is so silky. Can’t wait for my check to hit in a few days so I can buy some more. Also, ships very fast. Did I mention how much I love this product already?

Seriously, Lion Locs has THE BEST dreadlock products EVER. PERIOD. From the shampoo bar to the oil to this gel - every single product is AH-MAZING. I use the normal firmness gel and not only does it smell sooo good but it also moisturizes and tames frizz and fly-aways. I use it the day after wash day and once more as needed before I wash again. I use 2 fingers and grab a blob, rub it in my hands and then run it through half my locs and then repeat with the other half. The texture is smoother and silkier then regular gel. It isn't sticky and provides just enough hold to keep the hair in place without making it stiff and NO residue! My locs smell fresh and feel super soft! Please never leave Lion Locs! I don't know what I would do without your products! A MUST BUY for anyone with dreadlocks! ♥♥

First of all, this stuff seriously smells so good!!! At first when I smelled it, I thought it smelled a little too sweet or too rich maybe, but once it’s in my hair, I cannot get enough of the smell. OMGGG! The texture is very thin and light and the color is translucent once you apply it. It leaves no buildup or residue and it doesn’t flake!!! You guys…. My hair is so so so sooooo so soft. It feels stronger already and looks dark and Lucious lol It provides nice slip and allows my fingers to glide down my locs smoothly and easily which I love. I didn’t even know my hair could feel this smooth. I’m seriously in love lol A little goes a long way too. I use the firm for retwisting and the regular to actually moisturize the lengths of my locs. The firm feels pretty similar to the regular, it’s just a little creamier and a little more rich. It’s still pretty thin and I would absolutely feel comfortable putting this down the lengths of my locs if I need to. I used this to do a braid out/ retwist and it held up very verrryyy nicely. It held up better than the traditional locing gel I used to use. My retwist was so neat and juicy and lasted until I washed it two weeks later. I put the firm down the entire length of my locs to do the retwist and to help the braids hold. My hair was super soft after I took those braids out. Overall I am soooo pleased with my purchases. Lion Locs I think you guys have gained a new customer! And and the shipping was super fast. I ordered at like 2 in the morning on a Friday and it was delivered Sunday afternoon. Very impressed.

This isn't your typical gel, but it provides just enough hold to incorporate new growth or stray hair. This is especially important to me as I don't care for a hard retwist. The ingredients are hair healthy, and I was impressed with the ease in which the gel washed off my hands. While this is a good product, the price is quite high, especially for those of us on a fixed income. Thus the reason for only four stars.
