Our kids were excited about this game and had a lot of fun playing . . . . two or three times before the swords broke. How are there not cheap replacement foam pieces for the swords? We are big fans of Exploding Kittens games, but this was a miss.

As a parent, I was excited to get this game for my kids since it seemed like a fun and easy way to get some laughs. And at first, it was! Unfortunately, one of the swords broke on just the third time we played, which was really disappointing. To make matters worse, there are no replacement parts available, meaning the whole game is basically useless now. After checking other reviews, it seems like durability is a common issue, which is frustrating for a children’s game. I expected better quality for something designed to be played repeatedly.

I should heeded the reviews before letting my teenage son buy this. Contacted them and Exploding Kittens says they won't replace the broken sword, so I guess we are out of luck? Super dissapointed. We buy all the expansion packs for the card game and they don't have a way to send a new sword out (because we purchased at Target, which by the way only has a 30 day return window and it's been 35 days and only TWO USES before it broke at the base, which seems like a manufacturing error, photo attached)? Ridiculous and not planning to buy any more expansion packs or other games from you all because you don't stand by your products. Just ridiculous that something that is being used as instructed breaks and you won't replace the foam piece.

Bought this for my 12 yo, knew he would love the chance to hit us with swords but the challenge of balancing on one leg or having to spin to make you both dizzy levels the playing field and has us all in hysterics. Just make sure you have plenty of space to battle in!

This game is so fun but the sword broke the first day we played. The duel instructions are seriously hilarious and kept us laughing. Just hate that the sword broke after a few fights.

The name really says it all. It's a game that will keep you on edge! I actually have training sword fighting, so my family expected I'd be hard to beat, but the this game adds elements that made me work against all my instincts. It doesn't matter how skilled you think you are, this is a game for everyone! My teenage niece almost beat me :)

Me and my family love playing this game, were hesitant to buy it, but it is very controlled. I thought it would be rambunctious sword fighting leading to fights, but my family had a great time, no fighting at all.

Remember doing this as a kid? Perhaps with a stick? Broom? The cardboard tube within wrapping paper? We do! And it was a fun, well, until you broke Grandma's urn or your little brother required several stitches that would eventually become a funny story he tells at high school parties. This game takes all of that childhood dramedy and turns it into a structured game. Well, about as structured as such a game can be. These fun modifiers come into play with each sword duel and you'll find them in a varying degree of intensity. Overall a really fun party game! You'll need lots of room, or some level of self-control and spatial awareness. We play outside, but it could be ok to play in a large room. Away from Granny's curio cabinet. Just remember it is a game, and not the Game of Thrones. If you love very physical, and silly games that make adults do things that they otherwise would not in public, then grab this!

We had a group of 4 friends play this game after dinner. The booklet made the setup, rules, and win condition clear from the get-go. After a single round, we fully understood the appeal. Like a session of Tag, playing the game evoked in each of us a childlike necessity to dodge, duck, dip, and dive, anything to get out of the way of each other's swords. New rules from random cards, common knowledge of your opponents' hands, and the encouraged spoken-aloud strategizing all make the gameplay incredibly variable from round to round and game to game. We look forward to playing this game again with a larger group.

Exploding Kittens is back again with an incredibly interactive, raucous, and chaotic party game. It’s a bit reminiscent of the Throw-Throw series, but it feels much more controlled and streamlined. It’s as fun to watch your friends duke it out as it is to play yourself. If you liked the Throw-Throw series, this is a fantastic addition to that genre of party games.

I personally didn't play this but gave it to some cousins with younger kids and they had a blast playing the game! They loved having the physical aspect of it but it was also a great introduction to card games for them. The idea for the game is super fun and I love seeing all the unique ideas that EK has!

A fun out of the box game that allows you to go after your family members and friends and maybe get that sweet revenge you secretly always craved. This games put Grandma against grandkids, parents against kids, and sibling against sibling in a laugh out loud dual that will keep you playing for hours.
