This is great except for the matte pins. They are hard to use. I have a hard time getting them in and out of my hair. They’re very rough and pull my hair. Other than that, the set is great. Love the lil box they come in.

I love the packaging, and I needed some hair pins, but the matte bobby pins??? These are very hard to use. The coating is very rigid, almost like an emery board. I'm concerned if they will break my hair.

I'm honestly glad I didn't let other reviews deter me from getting these. I have extremely thick hair and the thicker pins are perfect at getting my hair pinned down. I also have not experienced my hair being pulled out from them. Please take into consideration your type of hair before getting them. They are perfect for me.

I do not like the coated pins. I think it pulls my hair more roughing it up. This can’t be good for the cuticles of the hair it touches. I haven’t used the open pins yet. I mainly purchased this for the closed ones. Waste of money!

The flat pins are way too thick and hard to open—sad. I got them on a sale price and like the other pins so I’m reluctant to return but who knows what’s up with the flat pins and who can use them?!??
