Snap power/Guidelight is an excellent product. I first purchased one about 10 years ago. After using it for about a year I purchased several more. Those originals are still in use, even after we moved to a different state. I then purchased a few more. We now have 8 of them around our home. Friends recently moved an I purchased several for a house warming gift for them. What's not to like about the ease of installation and the ambiance and safety that they provide?

This is a very innovative product that we have placed throughout our home, using several versions for toggle light switches, GFI’s and duplex outlets. It makes nighttime navigation safer and easier with just enough light to highlight the walk path for “senior eyes”. It can also help you avoid the lone LEGO block you missed picking up when the grandkids visit, sparing you from finding it with your bare feet. Can any parent relate? The plus version with the light output adjustability is a great feature for certain locations to soften the lighting where multiple units are not far apart, for example, or in a hallway cove. I had to return one unit purchased from Amazon as they shipped me a used switch plate in a sandwich size ziploc baggie minus the original packaging and one screw. Otherwise, I messed up a GFI plate as I did not see that the plastic wiring box was severely bowed inward on one side and it caused the copper tab to get stuck before the plate was situated.

Nest Protect was discontinued by Google which had a really well-loved feature called "path light". The Snap Power outlet covers have been an excellent replacement for "path light" now that First Alert's product doesn't have Path Light. I've bought several. My only complaint was the plate didn't sit flush on my wall, but I fixed that issue buying some stainless bugle head 6-32 screws. Replace that bottom outlet screw and the adapter now sits flush as pictured. Great product. Keep up the innovative work. See if you can get motion activated in the same size as a factory plate.

Great product! The GFCI capability allows for use in bathrooms and other locations where these circuits are present. Easy to install using only a screwdriver, and only takes a couple of minutes.

These are only good for a certain depth in your electrical box… otherwise the connectors won’t work. Junk!

Works great however, it states auto off but the Plus version does not have that function even though its printed on the package. The non plus version is the one with the auto off feature.
