Our master bath has a huge mirror which shines directly onto our bed. Typical night light shines out and up, bounces off mirror and into our eyes at night and shines around the edge of door if closed. The motion light is perfect for our situation. Now our bedroom is dark at night and the light is positioned so that we can get in the bathroom and close the door before it illuminates. It shines down so it doesn't bounce off the mirror or shine in your eyes and it shuts off after 15 seconds -- just enough time to get situated.

I have 4 of these and love them! Work perfectly in bedrooms. Get up for the toilet at night it immediately comes on and lights your way to avoid trip and falls and then tuns off while I'm in there and back in again when I return to bedroom and off within seconds of returning to bed. Easy to install and they leave both plugs open and available unlike plug in nightlights. They are PERFECT!

All the Snap Power products are outstanding in design and functionality. The item I've received is the MotionLight. In our household this allows a person with a minor visual issue to get around in the dark easily, while the auto turn off allows the light sleeper to rest easily. The timer at 3 minutes is absolutely perfect. However, I'm pretty sure the Cat likes to set it off intentionally.

The outlet plate covers with motion detector night lights were easy to install, and they illuminate my hallway at night woderfully. I had to tighten some unused bolts on the sides of my outlet receptacles behing the cover to make room for the electronic contacts that power the night lights.

Synopsis - Absolutely amazing products that will be game changers in your home. The install is rather easy—just need to shut the power off for the area you are working in, and you’ll need a flat head screwdriver. Each outlet comes with instructions, but when you do it once you’ll know what to do each time. I do suggest doing the install during a time when it’s dark enough for you to be able to tell right away (when you turn the power back on) if the outlet has power for the motion detecting and the light comes on. The toughest part for me was getting the prongs that grab power from the inside screws to be properly attached, and the only way to know is when the power is on and it’s dark enough to activate. Ultimately this should be a must-have addition to your home/apartment. You won’t regret the purchase and SnapPower has a great return/warranty system. 5 Illuminated Stars out of 5!
