Alot of the chemicals used as a repellant are toxic to your pets. This product is made with essential oils that has a pleasant smell and don't come in contact with the animals skin. The only thing that would make it better is to have an available recharge that could saturate the pad again because the collar, pad holder has never needed replaced on our dog.
