I’ve been dying my hair vampire red for many years on and off, and one of the best things about this color is that it fades out pink instead of orange, so my natural dirty blonde hair fades to a lovely rose gold if I don’t have time to keep up with dying it every 6 weeks. It’s cool-toned and deeply pigmented, and it’s fairly long-lasting if you avoid heat. Highly recommend, especially if you’re not into bleaching your hair.

The color is amazing and lasts so long even with washing my hair daily. My hair was bleached and dyed red at the salon and it faded fast. Decided to try this since it was my favorite brand in high school. 100% recommend!

This is such a stunning red. It's dark blood red in low/indoor light conditions or over my natural (mid/light brown) hair, and a GORGEOUS crimson in the sunlight and on bleached hair. I have not found another brand with a red this pretty, and I have tried quite a few, trying to solve the problem with dye bleed. Even when it's almost faded out to pink I get compliments on it almost every time I go out. And it LASTS. One major complaint though. When I first started coloring with this dye, maybe. . . 2019? It hardly ever bled after the first or second wash. I'd get a little pink in my shampoo, but no rub off or dying of skin or bedding. In the past few years, I don't know if there's been a formulation change or something, but it bleeds like crazy now. Dyes my neck for the first couple weeks and I'm always afraid of getting caught in the rain. My shower is always pink. I tried the apple cider vinegar rinse and clarifying shampoo and it helps a little (but makes the color fade a little faster too) but not enough to make a huge difference.

Vampire Red will always have my heart! It was the first color I tried at 17, and still using in my 40's. Despite what that uppity cashier at Sally's said to me decades ago, this color looks delicious on top of natural hair. My natural color is a light brown/copper, and Vampire Red turns out gorgeous over it. No need to pre-lighten unless your hair is already super dark. I've blended this color with several other shades like Ultra Violet and Plum Passion to create deeper colors that still look wonderful as they fade out. This one will always have my hearts!

I've used this dye for about two years, and it's always looked like a deep red with a strong purple undertone. I've used it on my natural, light brown hair with no bleach/other colors. I've found it still stays red for many months (only have to dye it about once every 4 months, but it's definitely not as pigmented at that point). Immediately after, it looks very bright, but as it absorbs after a day or two it deepens on me. After the initial wash, I've never experienced it bleed. Mixing it with dark star also deepens the color, and doing stripes of dark star then all red helps give more depth to the color.

Easy to use. The color is amazing but when putting on very blonde hair, it turns out bright instead of blood red. Manic panic is great in many different shades.

Love the color but the bleeding is awful. It turned the siren song in my hair purple. I've never had any of your other colors bleed before.

Used this dye at start of Aug 2024. The colour still runs and rubs off everywhere, even when my hair is DRY!!! I wake up every morning with red hands, face, pillows, wherever my hair has touched. I must admit it has stayed bright and colour has lasted but i'm sick of bleaching my shower and scrubbing my face daily.

This product is totally false advertising. The color I was left with was absolute hot tamale red. There was no depth, no “burgundy” undertones, just absolutely the worst red tone I’ve ever had. Do not buy based on what they show in the pictures.

The color is gorgeous but it bleeds like nobody’s business. I wake up every morning with red on my hands, neck, cheeks and forehead. I had to buy and bonnet to sleep. If it gets wet at all it bleeds even more so I have to be careful. Don’t recommend if you don’t want to wash yourself every morning.

I have dark brown hair. I’ve always wanted to dye my hair red but never wanted to bleach it. My hair is waist length, so I don’t want to damage it with bleach. I was unsure if this would even show up on my hair. But only cow! It is so pretty! It really shows up in the sun very well. But in regular light you can tell also. It’s so pretty and I love it so much. My only issue is the bottles are so small. I used almost 4 bottles, but I do have a lot of hair so I guess that’s the price I pay.

I had red hair for about 10 years, and this was my absolute favorite shade to use and the fact that it worked on my unbleached hair made it that much better. For reference, my natural hair is a light-medium brown!

I have my under layers bleached and dark brown on top and cover it all with Vampire Red and it is the most glorious duo I could ever imagine! I wish it came in bigger bottles because I have long and thick hair but I cant complain... this stuff is the best!

I have medium to dark brown, unbleached hair. I've tried multiple brands and this is the only one where the color shows up strongly on it all while lasting for a long time. It lasted about a month while using shampoo that isn't specifically for color care. The color in the picture is pretty accurate to how it looked in real life, even tho in real life it turned out very slightly purple.
