Most seeds germinated but I don't think they like the soil or something- they only grew to 18". Very cute still!

This sunflower is so pretty. I didn’t grow many because the the grackles either stole my seeds or the bugs ate my seedlings but the ones that survived make up for the ones lost. I tried to grow teddy bear sunflowers 2 years ago from one of the big seed companies, I don’t remember which and nothing came of it so Im really excited to have these this year.

So far so good! They’re growing wonderfully and putting out so many buds! I’ve never seen a sunflower like this one and they are just adorable. So fuzzy!! This is my first time growing anything from seed and the botanical interest seeds germinated very well! I’m super happy and will definitely buy again.

These were so easy to grow. I woke up one morning and it was such a lovely surprise. I prefer these to the larger ones because they flower faster and their thickness fills in more quickly. Such a great cut flower too!

This is the first time that I decided to grow sunflowers in containers knowing many of the varieties can grow very big. I am very satisfied and happy with the quality of plants and beautiful blooms. Highly recommended for sunflower lovers with limited space to grow!

These were REALLY dwarf, but that might be my fault, I transplanted them probably too late and they got stunted. The seeds all germinated well and every seedling eventually flowered but they were only about a foot tall, which is fine. They were susceptible to some fungal disease that ended them pretty soon but the flowers were nice when they lasted.

I had no problem with germination. I live in zone 6. I started them indoors the end of April. Transplanted them mid May and they bloomed by the end of June. They were beautiful. Each plant was loaded with numerous flowers of varying sizes. My husband enjoyed how compact the plant is versus the typical tall, long branched sunflowers that take up a lot of space.They were a conversation starter in the neighborhood and a highlight of my garden. I'll be planting them again next year.

i grew these in fabric pots in zone 6 this year for the first time, and absolutely loved them! i followed the sowing directions, and of the nine seeds i planted, all of them germinated and grew to bloom. each plant produced a few flowers, and they look exactly like the illustrations. when the blooms first appear, they look very similar to your typical sunflower, but each subsequent day, they get more and more teddy bear like! its very neat to watch them fluff up over the week following emergence. the blooms are very photogenic and attract lots of different insects. i had hoped to save some seeds for next year, but they found homes in the stomachs of goldfinches! i would highly recommend this species to everyone, especially those who may be restricted to container gardening due to space, poor soil quality, or renting. will definitely be purchasing more and some to share in the spring.
