I love the way these cobs came out! they're absolutely beautiful. Some came out smaller than others but I was still pleased with the outcome. I would not recommend for popping however as they pop extremely small.

These are so new to me that I thought people would enjoy growing them. Very pretty colors.

These were purchased this past fall as a Christmas stocking stuffer for family member who a vegetable and flowers gardener of many years. They won’t be planted until spring soil has warmed up.

Order arrived quickly, everything was neat and in good condition. 100% germination so far.

Probably 90% of all my BI seeds that I ordered this year germinated. The Glass Gem corn germinated MUCH better than any other brands I've used over the years. Hope the big competitors that I've stopped buying from can get over the loss of my money. LOL!

Actually got the seeds for my daughter (a Master Gardener) and her family. Thought this would be a great family project that lasted more than a week. Plus the kernels will be gorgeous. Thank you much.

Glass gem corn. Zone 5b. Colorado
Every kernel I planted germinated within 10-14 days. I direct sowed 16 kernels in 3 rows in a 2ft x 4ft raised bed space on May 7th. I only planted one cell with 2 kernels. Plant spacing and row spacing used was 9 inches with the middle rows plant locations staggered from the two outside rows. The plants were 7 inches tall by June 3rd.
The corn withstood a tornado in Highlands ranch on June 22nd. One stalk was cut down by a hail stone, the stalk is regrowing.
By August 3rd, the corn is starting to tassel and stand from 5 to 7 feet tall.
By August 15th, the corn is 6 to 9 ft tall. Each stalk has 2 to 3 ears emerging. I watered the corn regularly and used fish emulsion early in the growth cycle.
I picked the ears on September 24th. I harvested around 20 ears. A few ears had pollination issues which I partially expected since I grew this in a small block. I'm very happy with the results.

I just harvested this corn today. It is so incredibly gorgeous. I threw some seeds in an empty bed that doesn't get a ton of light, so each stalk only gave me about one ear. I am just thankful to have any. They are so beautiful! Most of my ears lean towards purple colors. I am going to double the amount planted and change locations next season to get even more corn and hopefully more colors!

I grew these, good germination, good growth, good everthing. I buy exclusively from these guys. Best

Germinated well . I just picked my first dried corn cob and it is beautiful! All that I hoped for! I have quite a few more growing and am looking forward to popcorn this fall. Definitely recommend!

These grew way shorter than expected, only about waist height probably from the sandy dry soil. I was hoping for them to be taller but I don't really mind. But anyway these still grew full size cobs and are so unique. I have noticed each plant has its own colour scheme mostly dependent on what colour the seed of that plant was. So cool.

I was really hoping this corn would grow. I love popcorn and this would have been very cute to leave out for decoration but none of the seeds grew for me this year.

I was disappointed. The stalks grew and developed husks but no corn. I'll try again next year.

The seed packet recommended regular watering, but I only watered a handful of times when the plants were less than 6 tall. The plants were growing the corn during a drought, and remarkably each plant still produced at least two beautiful ears of corn, and occasionally a third, smaller, ear of corn. I have yet to pop it. Unfortunately the area was not well fenced off, so the racoons got to enjoy more of the corn than I did. Will this corn grow true if I plant the seeds next year? From the description it seems the corn may be considered a hybrid.

I LOVE this corn. I bought it thinking I would get a few pretty ears. What I got was many beautiful ears, all different. The ears varied in size and are just great for decorating for fall.I can't wait to grow more this year.
