Didn’t really know what to expect on this product, but one thing is for certain……it comes out fast and strong and in large qualities! I slightly pulled the trigger and a barrage of hair spray landed on my dry hair (per the instructions). It set in quickly, but was still workable. The end result was actually decent and did remind me of ocean hair. It was difficult to rework but ended up with a quaff unlike ever before. Once I managed to control it a bit more it was fine. But I don’t know what to do about the sheer amount that comes out, it’s so much. I’ll keep wrestling with this because I like the look.

I received SexyHair’s Surfer Girl Dry Texturizing Spray free for my honest review. I was pretty excited when I saw this as an option in my claims because I was looking for a new texture spray, I recently ran out of mine. Unfortunately, I’m a little disappointed with the product. It does add texture and volume but it also leaves a powdery like residue feel. I can’t see it but I can feel it in my hair. The sprayer is extremely strong, be careful during your first application because it does come out quickly. I would suggest shaking the product really well and spraying at the roots for lift and volume. If you need added texture for hold, lightly spray hair. I think this product if you need your hair styled for an event, maybe not every day casual use.

I've used hairspray from SexyHair in the past but this was my first experience with any of their other products and the Texture Surfer Girl dry texturizing spray is a pretty solid product. It has a light scent that reminds me of the beach, sunscreen, salt water and coconuts. I have fine straight hair that some products are just too heavy for but I didn't have any issues with this weighing my hair down. It gave my hair volume and texture without making it look or feel greasy, sticky, crunchy or stiff. Perfect for spraying in my hair before curling or doing overnight curls, it helped my hairstyles stay without falling flat. I'm taking one star off though because there isn't a way to lock the trigger of the sprayer and I can see being messy to travel with.

This is hands down one of the best texturizing sprays I've ever used. It holds the curl or wave so well, all while adding lots of volume to your hair. The scent is great, I really rather liked it. I didn't notice and residue on my hair after using this.

I have super fine and thin hair that gets oily very quickly - so not only are my ponytails very lackluster but I can never get away with ‘dirty hair styles better!’ I used this today on clean dry hair and it gave me a little extra volume and a lot of grip! I didn’t have to adjust my clip all day! It does mattify your hair which isn’t my fave but it’ll do!

Before and after shots. Label says to spray on DRY hair. Sprays inconsistent and is difficult to get evenly throughout my hair so you can see in the second photo some hair has turned slightly wavy or textured, but some pieces are not. It will leave residue on your hands so wash them good after. There’s no residue visible nor felt on my hair. The spray smells great; very coconut beach scent. Maybe if you use more product it will come out better or more textured.

I absolutely love the scent of this texturizing spray, it makes me think of the beach! I have very fine hair and this does the trick with adding some volume and light hold, the only thing I wish it had was a bit of a moisturizing quality as I feel it leaves a little of a residue that feels drying. I would definitely get this again!

I don’t wash my hair everyday and since I started to let my hair grow I’ve been looking for something to add texture to my waves without feeling I’m wearing a helmet or a fake wig. It smells really nice and leaves almost no residue. I really like it

This is such a great product, gives your hair great volume and texture and the unexpected bonus is that it smells amazing! Only giving it four stars because you have to spray from far 8-10 inches otherwise you end up with white hair!

The surfer girl from Big Sexy hair is no joke!! The texture it gives is outstanding and i really love the light coconut scent! It takes me straight to the beach! Super easy to apply. Highly recommend!! Love it!
