These are cool in theory but the gems are so light weight they take forever to sink and if there is any current with a water filter or jet then they will easily drift to a different area of the pool. Not a big deal for a shallow pool or experienced swimmers but could be dangerous if an inexperienced swimmer dumps them in the shallow end and they drift to deeper water.
The cards are nice and durable though.
