This is a beginners Tea. I haven't had too many different teas but this is one that is simple and a starter tea. Very good first time experience with Tea. Makes me want to continue looking for my favorite!

The tea brews up harsh and lacks any vegetal flavor. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I would never call it Sencha. I bought this tea using a gift certificate. I hoped to exchange it, but Art of Tea requires that I return the unused bags (49 out of 50) at my expense, then use store credit to order something new (for which I would also pay shipping). I asked for a sample bag of another tea I was considering, just to be sure it would be worth making the exchange, but that request was ignored. My experience with Art of Tea is that quality control is low and customers are treated as scammers. I feel bad that my sister wasted her money on the gift certificate, and I will have to warn her not to buy anything from Art of Tea again.

While I am at work I like to have a beverage to enjoy. In the past I was drinking coffee, and then switching to water after a cup or two. I wanted to get a simple green tea that was affordable and that I could drink all day long. I have really been enjoying this Sencha. I use the french press that I was using for coffee. Since it's summer and I don't want to be sipping on hot liquid, I just poor some room temperature water over the leaves and let them sit for a few minutes. Then I enjoy a gentle, mug of tea. I pour more water over the leaves immediately after I take the first cup and whenever I'm ready, I've got another cup of tea ready to go. I can get 2 or 3 mugs this way. If I want a fourth, I just add a couple of fresh leaves and pour the water in. I haven't had any problems with bitterness or any other funky flavors. Be warned though, this is not a replacement for coffee. I was looking for something different than coffee, and found exactly what I was looking for. A gentle green flavour that I can enjoy all day long. I'm sure there are some tea snobs out there that would be agast at my brewing methodology, but I like the result and that's all that matters! For the price can't go wrong for 2 reasons; 1 since it's not from japan where the sencha style craft was perfected, its cheap and china way back originated the methods the japenese perfected 2 compared to bag tea, a pound of this tea will last months and is superior to any bagged green.

Bought this for my wife but I like it too.Brews a very fragrant tea that is subtle and pleasant in taste. Would recommend this tea to anyone.

This is a great quality sencha, at a really great value. Some tea's tend to fall a little flat but this one is quite lively! If you're looking for an everyday traditional Japanese green tea, this is an excellent place to start.

I've had other Sencha teas that have more flavor. For this one, I find that a bit more than the recommended amount yields a flavorful cup, and is good for multiple infusions. It's the only organic Sencha I've found, and that, along with the sweet, smooth, vegetal flavor will keep me coming back.

I am not much of a tea lover but Sencha is a special organic tea for me. It is very smooth and makes me feel lively.
