I wanted to love this as I really like Merit make up. However it fell short for me. The texture is nice but it is very light - I have fairly average 40 y/o skin, not dry, but this doesn’t leave it feeling moisturised. It also smells very odd - it is meant to be unscented, I think, but there is a strong whiff of detergent/bleach which is quite off-putting. Disappointed overall.

I was super excited to buy this product! I am a fan of other Merit products but unfortunately the moisturizer has a odd smell to it, almost stale. Additionally even after a few days of my skin adjusting, I still have dry/ashey parts of my skin at the end of a day. I had really high hopes but I dont think I will be ordering again

Le flacon est vraiment trop joli, la pome délivre la quantité nécessaire de produit et il glisse vraiment bien sur le sérum bi-phasé. Aucun problème pour ajouter une crème solaire par dessus. J’ai retiré une étoile car je pensais qu’il était plus hydratant que ça, j’ai la peau ultra sèche et déshydratée. Mais il fera le bonheur des peaux normales !

The Great Skin Moisturizer is certainly elevated, reminiscent of mature brands like Clinique. It smells expensive, but not overly luxurious. It's more primer than moisturizer, I would say: it leaves my skin feeling tacky to the touch (a good base for makeup to cling to) rather than supple. I had been hoping more for the latter, since I haven't found a good moisturizer for my face that doesn't cost a fortune, but I'm satisfied with The Great Skin Moisturizer for its function as a primer. I have not tried pairing it with the Great Skin Serum yet (it's not my favorite product, so I don't have any currently: but I might give it another chance just to see how it interacts with the moisturizer; Merit is very good about making products that work well together).
