I work at a summer camp and needed something to protect my head and face from all the south Florida sun. This hat not only did that, but covered my shoulders, too! I don’t go anywhere now without it! It’s super comfortable, breathable, and durable! 10/10!!!

Perfect! Exactly what I wanted - if anything I might get another with the fabric on the inside of the brim as sometimes the sun spots that make it through the straw are distracting to my vision.

I needed a hat that would protect me while working in the field of our small, organic farm. This one looked like it would do the trick, and it has been GREAT! Lots of brim for excellent coverage, a the weave is strong enough that it does not flip up in the wind. The chin cord is comfortable, and the hat has a stretch where it fits to the head, so that it doesn't feel tight. Really appreciate this product.

This is my second Hemlock hat. I love the first one and wear it in the boat and at the beach. So I ordered a second one for mowing the grass. The second one seems to be a tighter fit and the top part of it seems very tall. It looks like a chimney on my head.

Bought for my husband for while we are outside doing yard work, or at the beach. He is very picky about quality of clothing, and he loves his hat. He gets lots of compliments while we are outside, and he constantly has it on. Now we both want several!

I love the fit of the hat, and the look of it. But unfortunately it seems like the straw was already starting to break apart on certain parts of the hat. Which is no big deal but I only wore it one weekend, I’m hoping it holds up for the whole summer because it’s definitely a cool hat.

I was disappointed to see that the brim has some broken pieces of straw already, I’m not sure when this happened, since I’ve only worn the hat a few times. I love the hat, I just wish it hadn’t gotten damaged so quickly.

Love the style and fit. The headband in there holds on great even in a stiff breeze and it doesn’t feel like it’s clamping down on me. Very good sunshade. My star off is all cosmetic. Ultimately, I don’t think I would have bought this specific hat if I was shopping in a store just for several small things. The patch on the front is crooked. The inner band and outer band don’t start from the same place and neither are centered - most meaningless gripe TBH idk who would notice when I’m wearing it. They stuck a plastic thing through the center of the straw on the brim to attach a tag when there are plenty of small holes throughout the straw that could have taken that just fine. Overall it’s a great outdoors hat, just not sure how I feel about the finer details of the craftsmanship. Maybe I’m picky.

Love the hat except the drawstring is more of a hot pink than a softer guava color. I would not have chosen if I knew or could tell in pictures.

This hat is beautiful--I purchased it for its neutral look vs. competitors that had loud prints or visible brand labels. It is lightweight, which is nice for when it hangs around your neck when not in use. My main complaint is that the straw weaving has gaps in places, which makes me worry it won't hold up long term or provide enough sun protection. I probably would've returned it for this reason, but between losing my shipping costs and paying a restocking fee, it's not worth it. I'll keep it and hope it works, but I bought a backup hat for sun protection in case this one doesn't cut it.
