Top SECRET to keep ALL your press-on nails from popping off, that nail techs don’t want you to know 🤫 I’ve been doing this since 2020 & my nails are SO much healthier than they were when I was getting gel/acrylic. I’m linking the type of superglue you need to this video. Click the orange 🛒 You can also get this superglue from Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS & your local grocery store. It’s pretty cheap & a little goes a long way. I usually get at least 3-4 manicures out of a single bottle. I usually get generic ones (not gorilla glue) & pay less than $5 for a 4 pack. However, if you get the generic ones there’s a chance they’ll dry out faster, specifically if they’re older & have been sitting for a while. It doesn’t matter what kind of pressons you use, throw the superglue that comes with them straight into the trash 🗑️ can! I’m VERY rough with my hands! Prior to this swap I’d have at least one press-on nail pop off every single day… now I make it 7-10 days easily without losing a nail! I know some people are going to say “this isn’t good for you” & I agree, but neither is getting your nails ground down to get gel/acrylic applied to your nails, neither is wearing makeup/perfume/lotion, neither is coloring/bleaching your hair… neither are a lot of things we do as women. I am NOT an expert, nor am I a professional nail tech!! All I know is this easy swap actually keeps my presson nails on! NOTE: I’ve never experienced any kind of reaction or fungus or anything like that from doing this & I’ve been doing my nails like this every 7-10 days since the pandemic. When using superglue remember the following: -Take your time! This isn’t something you want to rush. -Pull out all the nails you’ll be using & make sure they’re the right size. Line them up. -Remove all old polish/glue. You can use rubbing alcohol or acetone. This will help dry out & clean off your nails before applying new press-on nails. *note-Make sure your nails are completely dry & clean before applying new press-on nails. -File down your nails (just a little bit) with a nail file. You do NOT need an electric one. *note-A regular $1 normal nail file works better imo. It’s cheaper, quicker & you’re less likely to over file this way. -PUT A PIECE OF PAPER (or something) UNDERNEATH YOUR HANDS BEFORE APPLYING PRESS-ONS! -Apply nails starting with your pinkies & working inwards, ending with your thumbs. -Do your non-dominant hand first! If you’re right handed, this means using your left hand to apply nails to your right hand first. -Apply glue to one nail at a time. Apply glue to your actual nail (not the press-on) & carefully apply press-on nail. *note-you’ll only get one chance to do this so do your best to apply the nail straight. -Immediately after applying the press-on hold/pinch the nail for 10 seconds. *note-if any glue gets on your finger, hand, paper, anywhere, etc. DO NOT TOUCH IT! Let it dry completely (this only takes 1-2 min) & then you can easily & painlessly peel the glue off. -After all 10 nails are applied use nail file to shape your press-on nails.
