Back in 2019, during my sophomore year of HS me and my best friend Dom were into anything metal. I vividly remember finding your shop and showing him which he quickly became obsessed with, he was determined to get something. After months of consideration and saving he bought the flooded grill ring, excited to show it off to me at the next hangout where we drew cartoons and talked philosophy, I legitimately never saw him without it. The following year during the covid shutdown he came over to mess with some cheap knives in a mill I'd just acquired, and continue our ever expanding comic universe. Somewhere along the way he lost the ring in the junk of the shop floor and being 2020, it was difficult to hang out. It was never found and he was honestly devastated. This year we're still very good friends and I saw an ad on my Instagram for the same flooded grill ring, promoted as a discontinued design coming back. I knew it's what I needed to get him for Christmas, and a good reason to hang out. I picked it up from the post and went straight to his house, without any clue I gave him the package. He looked at it suspiciously and said "is this what I think it is?" I told him he'd have to find out, low and behold he was right- and absolutely stoked to have another one after 5 years of it missing. Thanks HJ for making quality. You've got a couple patrons in us.
