I like this face wash so far. It does not break me out or irritate my sensitive skin, which is huge. It does have a slight fragrance to it, but nothing overpowering. A little goes a LONG way! A small pea size amount creates a thick foam that is more than enough for your face! Very luxurious feeling. This does leave my skin with that squeaky clean feeling similar to a bar of soap, but so far has not stripped my face of moisture. I received this product for free in exchange for a review.

Kose Sekkisei White Washing Foam (aka Facial Cream Wash) is a cream-to-foam facial cleanser with hydrating & brightening plant extracts like Job’s tears. It promises gentle and effective cleansing while leaving the skin hydrated and soft. I think this cleanser actually does live up to its claims (except it’s probably unlikely to get brightening benefits from a cleanser). It leaves the skin feeling soft but also well cleansed. The reason is in the cream and the foam. The texture of the cream is like a pillowy whipped body butter, but not really (as someone with oily acne prone skin I’m not afraid of it). It truly is a little goes a long way. In fact on occasions where I accidentally use too much, some foam goes in my nose. I’ve had to adjust my use amounts by halves. The cream instantly and easily transforms into a very high lather foam. Kind of approaching shaving cream foam level on my face, but not really. It’s a surprising amount of foam for a little bit of product. That also leaves me surprised when my skin doesn’t feel dried out. However, as a foaming product, the cleanse is not as gentle as non-foaming gentle cleansers. This cleanser probably isn’t the go to for irritated skin. It does have fragrance, though not that much. It could be considered a product smell rather than a fragrance smell. The fragrance there is is a traditional scent like powder makeup and a bit of sandalwood perhaps. I don’t mind it. It’s not obtrusive or obnoxious. But is somewhat present on application. Some might say it’s a mature or old lady scent. There’s a bit of truth to that.
