Planter is big enough to have a tomato plant plus something small growing at the base. My tomatoes are growing easily with marigolds, nasturiums, thyme, basil, and a leftover tiny dahlia tuber. I love everything about it and would recommend it to everyone, UNLESS you plan to utilize the wheels/portability anywhere other than a perfectly smooth surface. Grass won't work for obvious reasons, but neither will pavement or stone. If your planter is not on a 100% smooth surface, have a plan in place for what you'll do if violent wind gusts threaten. If the wheels weren't mostly useless, I'd give this planter 6 out of 5 stars! I do love it so far. They'd be perfect for growing tall dahlia flowers as well.
