After buying the 12-cup Culligan pitcher and filters online, I happened to see the 7-cup pitcher with filter while out shopping, so I bought that, too. They're easy to assemble (read the instructions provided!) and it's comforting to know our drinking water is clean and pure. I set the subscription for new filters to arrive periodically. It's a good deal that relieves me of having go to the store when we need more filters. Having clean, pure water is important for our health. We're grateful we have these Culligan ZeroWater pitchers and filters.

The filters work very well at filtering and the water tastes great. But they don't last nearly as long as they say. 1-3 months is a joke. I'm lucky if they last 2 weeks. And I live in a small 2 bed townhome by myself half the time and with my 2 daughters the other half. We do use it for all our drinking water and some cooking water, but still. They are very expensive to be switching out every 2-3 weeks.

What's better? Being able to drop the filter in from the top instead of struggling to screw the old ZeroWater filters into the old style pitcher from below tightly enough not to leak (and then unscrewing them). What Culligan thinks is better but is not, in my opinion? The completely redesigned meter measuring TDS (total dissolved solids) which is now installed into the pitcher for continuous metering. However, the old Zero Water (pre-Culligan) meters were fine, did not require 2 AAA batteries, and I had no problem remembering when to check the TDS level, because the water would start to taste 'off', so I knew to check it. What is worse? the whole top reservoir/filter mechanism moves a bit inside the pitcher, disconcertingly, when I pour water out and then set the pitcher down. What remains to be seen? Whether the filter will last longer between needing to be changed. But, I do love the filtered water, and not using plastic water bottles!

My water is immensely clean and crisp, and the enhanced duration of filter longevity has accentuated what was already excellent into something somehow even better.

unless there is something I can't figure out about the blue cover, this filter does not fit older ZeroWater pitchers. I did get a new pitcher but find it too heavy when full to get it in and out of the fridge, and a small amount of unfiltered water remains in the reservoir which drips out into the filtered water as it is being poured. I'll use them, but really want to have the old filters for the pitcher that works better for me, the old one.
