Crimson Sweet Watermelon is one of the best varieties I've ever grown here in NW AZ in the Mohave Desert. Best of all I can save the seed for future plantings.

So far so good! I direct seed my seeds about two weeks ago and had a 100% germination and everybody looks happy and healthy so far. Overall I have been pleased with everything that came in this order and will definitely order again from botanical interests.

This is the 3rd year I have grown this watermelon. I love it. Last year and this year, I had to hand pollinate the flowers. I have 2 plants and 1 melon on each. I am happy with that. I started the seeds indoors and planted them out May 31st. I also grew plants for my grand niece (she is 6 years old) and my daughter. All are pleased with the watermelons.

This was my first time growing watermelons so I have no other experience to compare. The plants survived an extremely long and hot summer. I had 2 plants and they each were only able to support 1 fruit. The fruits were smaller than what is described as typical for this variety, around 10ish lbs. Flavor was okay. Aphids took over as well. It was a tough year for watermelons. I will try again next year and hopefully have better results.

About this product
Product description
Watermelon—the word brings to mind the long, lazy days of summer, picnics, and barbecues. 'Crimson Sweet' is a high-quality old standard of home gardens, weighing about 20–25 pounds with bright crimson flesh. With just a little care, it can be easily grown in northern climates; see inside of packet for details. Bottom turns ivory when ripe. Resistant to Fusarium wilt and anthracnose.
