The design of this lid is great for spill prevention and heat retention. But it is awful for getting to drink your whole drink. The problem is that the coffee gets to the sipping area through an intake straw that sticks out under the lid. Once you get towards the end of your beverage, the length and positioning of this straw mean that most of the liquid misses this straw. Things slow to a trickle and then stop altogether unless you literally turn the mug upside down. I have found the only practical way to drink your whole drink is to take the lid off entirely, which – in my opinion – somewhat defeats the purpose.

Love almost everything about this mug! Keeps my coffee hot all day, no spills, and easy to hold. Only drawback is when you get down to about a 1/4 of liquid, you really have to tilt it almost upside down to get your last drinks. Not enough of a bother to not use it, because everything else is great!

Tried this out on a six-hour drive (each way) to visit family. I was looking forward to one-handed operation and a lid that stays attached but is out of the way when I open it. Positives: One-handed operation (mostly); good-sized sip hole; good insulation. Negatives: Not quite one-handed operation - I generally hade to brace it in the cup holder or between my legs to move the lid, especially when it has been sitting (cooling) awhile, as the seal is so good (a plus to prevent spiils!) it can create a vacuum that tried to hold the lid back - I think putting a higher-friction divot (for my thumb/finger) or a slight ridge to brace against would be an improvement; taking the guts apart to clean is a bit of an operations, so I doubt I will be doing that to clean it every time, probably just rinse it mostly.

Easy to use, easy to clean. I bought this to replace a leaky travel mug purchased from another company so I questioned the sales person A LOT about this mug.
