We grew a plethora of lettuce last season including Romaine, Medleys and the complimentary lettuce pack in our order (Thanks Botanical Interests!) and the Buttercrunch was by far our favorite. We grew enough to be able to give some to friends and family as well as stock our market stand and received a ton of compliments and comments. Large leaves, great texture, non bitter - truthfully "buttercrunch" describes it perfectly.

Who doesn’t love some buttercrunch lettuce? I’d been having germination issues with my old seed. I am absolutely delighted with how easy this lettuce was to grow. I’m growing under grow lights in my house over winter. It is so nice to just harvest when I need and not have to brave the weather in order to have fresh greens.

I often wrestle with growing lettuces. I find them hard to germinate and the leaves are often fragile and hard to handle. This variety germinated vigorously and matured quickly. The leaves have a robust texture that's easy to pick and perfect in salads and sandwiches.

This is the first time I have tried your seeds. Actually just planted them recently-in South Carolina. We then get a snow storm-a rarity and nothing like it since 1989. My lettuce that was a few inches tall survived the storm Unbelievable!

Great lettuce. At least previous crops have been delicious. The biblical grasshopper plague that hit California this year wiped out our garden. We did not harvest anything except potatoes, onions and garlic. Pretty frustrating but not fault of the seeds.

Brought a pack of Buttercrunch lettuce from Adams Fairacre farms. Sowed according to instructions. They did not germinate. I tried again put down the second half of the pack. Again they did not germinate. However my burpee Mesculn salad that germinated normally. Ot says lot #1 packed for 2024, Sell by 12/31/2024.

I’m a big fan of Botanical Interests. I’m raising quite a few of their varieties this season including Buttercrunch. It has been phenomenal!

These are growing nicely, and at this point they do not seem fussy or like they need a lot of maintenance. Would definitely recommend. Make sure you keep these ones covered - the leaves are a bit more delicate. In my area it usually rains pretty heavy and it will damage the leaves.

I direct seeding and indoor seeded all my lettuce. The ones in the picture, I literally hand tossed in the areas to make a pattern. I will harvest these by leaf as I need. The indoor seeded ones, I have thinned to individual plants. I plan to harvest these as a head. This picture shows one of my favorite plantings.
