Eddie’s test came back Type 1 VWD
He was going to be neutered that month!
After taking the test results to vet they referred us to golf coats, veterinarian specialist to get the surgery done because they have everything they need if a blood transfusion is necessary they were able to schedule him and give him certain things to help his blood clot after the surgery, during the consultation, it was found that he also has a Gastro issues and being a standard poodle needed a pexy ! Both procedures were done successfully. He had a four week recovery and is now back to his fun, loving Zoomie self,
so thank you Embark, you saved my boys life!

It's a long story of how we became the parents of Fred. Now that we know his breed and background, we've been able to put a lot of pieces of the puzzle together.

My puppy was found alone in a parking lot at 3 days old. We had absolutely no idea anything about him past that. This test has been so extremely enlightening! Of course we learned his breed but it showed us what he was at risk for, what he was a carrier for. It also went in depth with his physical traits, typical behaviors for his breed, it provided a family tree, and the part I was most hyped about is that they show you relatives who have taken the test like a little doggy ancestry!! I was able to find one of his older half siblings and get some information on his background and what happened to his parents! It wound up being completely worth the money and I'm so happy I went for it!!

We adopted a rescue right after Christmas and immediately purchased this test to learn more about her breed. Even though it was the holiday season, the turnaround time was very reasonable. We appreciated receiving updates throughout the process so we always knew where things stood.
The rescue told us she was a Yorkie and Shih Tzu mix, which we expected—but we were pleasantly surprised to find out she also has Biewer Terrier in her! It’s a breed I’ve always admired from afar but never imagined we’d have since we typically adopt rescues.
I would absolutely recommend this to family, friends, and coworkers. It was such a fun and informative experience!

Was requested to do this Embark evaluation by a bird dog colleague, since my dog has been doing well in field competition and has his show ring championship which should lead to breeding requests. Process was simple, had what I consider a fair price and the evaluation seems pretty complete.

We got our girl tested to verify she was 100% GSD because I was oh so sure she's was.... Nope! Turns out our girls is 18% Husky and another 17% careless love ( too many small parts to call!) We still refer to her as a Shepard Mix, but the results explain so many of her little personality quirks. The biggest of which was why the heck a German Shepard was so fond of snow.
Thanks for everything!

The test is super easy to use. The results came back very quickly. It's so nice knowing what breeds Winston actually is compared to what we were told he was. Now we know that he's going to require more training and a lot more exercise to keep him a well mannered boy.

I am thrilled with my Stella’s DNA test. When we rescued her in September, we were told she was a Portuguese water dog mix. I thought for sure she was a PWD mixed with poodle. I couldn’t believe when I got her DNA back that she is a 100% purebred Black Russian Terrier. She is a beautiful girl. Her personality and the things she does definitely shows me that her DNA is spot on. Thank you Embark. I’m thrilled.

Really surprised but so happy I now know all about my pups DNA and the breeds she actually has in her lineage! This will help me with training, health care and planning:)

I regretted not performing a genetics test on my now-deceased best friend of 15 years. Naturally, I've now performed the tests on my two new members of my family, and I couldn't be happier with embark's process. The results were surprising (and super fun), and I love that embark shows related pups they have in their system.
Marlo is even showing as having two siblings!

I adopted a working dog that was thought to be a purebred. I did a pet subscription box and it came with a different brand of dog dna kit. I was surprised to see he was a mix of 2 different working dogs of the same group (Malinois and Dutchie) but when I went back to look at it a year later the breeds completely changed. Not sure how that is possible since none of the new additions to his dna were new breeds. When a dog is 40% Dutch Shepard how does that go away and become a mix of 5-7 different breeds and the % of Mal was less than original.
I bought 3 Embark and all three were done in a timely manner, corresponded with what we knew of the dogs breeds (as well as Vet info and records). The addition of the health info is an awesome benefit.

We adopted a puppy that was found at the border of the Hopi and Navajo reservations, small and injured/sick. After searching for owners, my brother brought the pup to us. Of course we fell in love and got him doctored up. He had the coloration of a Rottweiler, but pointy nose! We were eager to learn his breed components; waiting was hard! When the email came, I invited brother and SIL for a Breed-Reveal party, and Ta-Da -- Hona Bear is 3/4 Australian Cattle Dog aka Heeler! It has made understanding him and his playing/learning style much easier.

Easy process and informative results. We have used Embark for both of our rescue dogs. It’s great to discover what breeds they are and have the valuable health and trait information that comes with it. Would highly recommend.

We bought the Emark test for our Crannie at Christmas.
Super simple to use. They were great about communication throughout the whole process. Crannie was a rescue from TX and we were told a Norfolk Mix. Her behaviors weren’t matching the breed. She appeared to have some Dachshund with her wire hair and long body.
The results had us stunned! What was the best part is there are many of her relatives we can connect with!!
We have been sharing her results and urging others to use Emark. Extremely satisfied 🐶❤️

I thought my dog was 50% Pembroke Welsh Corgi and 50% Australian Cattle Dog. She has the coloring, soft fur, ears and bug eyes of a Corgi, but in a Cattle Dog frame (with longer legs and a tail). It turns out she's lots of herding breeds and no Corgi. Cattle Dog and Labrador Retriever being each 20% and other herding breeds contributing less. And besides being an acrobatic frisbee dog, she does herd, that's for sure!

After rescuing a pup from the orchards where I live, I was not sure exactly what my pup was in terms of breeds. The DNA test was easy to use with great follow up as to where the results were and the process.

I adopted a rescue puppy that was labeled as a Chihuahua. When I saw him I suspected he might have some Dauschund blood because of his short stout legs and outward turned front feet.
Happy to see that I was correct and I can call him a Chiweenie. Some of the other bits that showed up were surprising. Very happy to see he looks very healthy and that profile is very helpful.
I definitely have recommended Embark to friends.
I am a retired Geneticist so this was a fun experience.
