These adjustable dumbbells are exactly what we were looking for. I like that we can start by removing the additional weights and add one to each side at at time to a total of 5 lbs each. The adjustable weights slide off easily and lock in place securely when added. The bar feels comfortable in my hand, good grip and not slippery like some of the other brands out there. These are Great for someone new to adding weight to their exercise routine or someone coming off of surgery recovery who needs lower weight limit for resistance training.
