Wire is pretty simple, it either does it job well, does it crappy, or doesn't do its job.This wire does its job well.It's smooth and sleek to the touch while having a thick coating but not too hard to strip. When you strip it some of the small copper wire does fall off but not that much and it seems pretty strong to the touch.It comes coiled up nicely but isn't hard to bend and it feels durable and like it'll last a long time.I used it to run power from my car battery to my amps and I'm very glad I bought the 50 ft because 25ft would've really been cutting it tight. I recommend buying the 50 ft because if you have any left over you'll definitely want to use it in the future. This is the strongest wire I've ever used and even though I don't anymore I want to buy more just because it's so thicc and strong!!

My husband was putting together an AREDN node for here at the house (something he's into with amateur radio) so I picked this up for him to build the node with & it was just what he needed. It came nicely packaged, was bound all together & held together by a cardboard label.I'm not exactly positive what he used all of the wire for, but I'm pretty sure that he used this as a power wire to run from the solar panel to the WiFi antenna that is on the node.He said he would recommend this wire for any type of project needing a 8ga power wire.

Decent wire for the value. Easy to route in a conduit and easy to strip clean. I am using this on my solar set up to tie charge controllers to my distribution blocks in parallel connection.

The GearIT 8 Gauge Copper Clad Aluminum Wire is seems to be very nice for copper clad aluminum wire. It is very flexible and the soft touch jacket seems like it can withstand a bit of abrasion.I'm using it to connect a bank of 5 12v gel cell batteries together in parallel for winter storage so that the battery maintainer can charge the entire bank as needed. The wire is probably overkill for the purpose, but I'd rather go oversized for this purpose.

I used this wire to make a small run from my truck battery, through the firewall, and to a Mono amp under my passenger seat that powers a 500w 10 inch subwoofer. Quite a few turns to make and 10ft was cutting it mighty close, but I am getting a solid, powerful connection and the amp is delivering the THUMP we all love lol! I think this is a nice piece of wire for a short run, and as I stated earlier when bending and running the line, I can feel in my hands the quality of the jacketing material as well as the copper stranding itself. I'm confident the wire will deliver a good current for a long time. Pleased with this purchase.

I have used a lot of GearIT wiring products in the last year. They have all been wonderful, and this wire is no exception. As this product description says, this is copper coated Aluminum (CCA), as are most wires in this category. CCA has a lower amperage rating than copper, so make sure you choose the correct wire size for CCA. The wire is fairly flexible thanks to the silicon insulation, it can be routed easily. The individual strands are very small, which helps with flexibility, but means they are less strong.

I was upset at first, but now that the description has been updated I am very happy. This is very nicely made copper clad aluminum. The stands are small and is very flexible. The connectors are top notch and have several sizes. Great product.

This was my first time working with copper-clad, stranded 8 guage aluminum wiring. I was skeptical that it would not tin or solder easily, but it tins effortlessly with a 45 watt iron. I was also impressed at how flexible the 8 gauge wire is, and how rugged the insulation is, especially when exposed to high heat.

10' of 8 gauge wire that is....bendable! I suppose it a combo of the aluminum base metal and a more flexible sheathing material, but I've never used a wire that offered such flexibility. Good quality and a damn nice price! I'll be ordering more for some generator work I'm doing.

It's more or less exactly what it says it is - 10 feet of 8-gauge copper-clad aluminum wire. It's very flexible, and the insulation strips off easily. Oddly enough, it's almost the exact same color, weight, and texture of red ropes licorice, so that's fun.
