Very straight forward design and installation. No direction but the colored card included is very easy to follow. I huge leap above the old easily broken 4 pin harness. Must newer trucks come with both 4 pin and 7 pin connectors.

100% honesty! The box could seal a little bit better where it screws together. The O rings fell off when I tightened the two screws that hold on the cover, overall that's the only issue I see is.

This made it so easy to rewire my trailer. I have a 7 way plug on my trailer and because I use it so infrequently I have to rewire it every 10 Years or so because the field mice have decided the wires under the trailer are tastier than every thing else in the world. This all molded in to one, construction protects from damage. I am thinking about ordering another one for my next time.

Flexibility is average and what I expected, I have some that are certainly stiffer. Dual contact 7 prong plug is a plus. The junction box that is pre-wired really speeds up installation. Got his for a goosneck, the extra length of the 16' comes in handy.

Very good quality, especially for the price. The junction box is not water tight, but closes up nicely. If you use your trailer where road salt is used, you might consider some silicone to seal up the box. The cable is typical PVC/vinyl/rubber stuff found on most trailer wiring. It does get stiff when cold, but no worse than most others. The plug end seems to be great quality, it has a bit of a rubbery feel to it, instead of the typical hard slippery plastic. The connection pins look robust and hold on tight for a good connection to the tow vehicle. Every connection is labeled, however, from personal experience, verify your wires on the trailer before just matching up colors. While there is an industry standard wire color for each trailer function, not every trailer manufacturer uses the standard colors.Overall, it's a great product and well worth the asking price.

I opened it up and took some pictures of the inside for y'all.The junction box appears to be fairly weather resistant but not waterproof.It comes with some extra knock out plugs, so that's nice.The cord cap is molded in place, so if and when the terminals on the connector wear out it's not serviceable except by cutting it off and wiring on a new connector ... that should take a good long while however.

I am rewiring a 30 foot trailer and moving the battery and electrical connections from the front of the trailer to the mid point. So, I was looking for a good way to move the connections that would provide a secure and long term connection point. When this became available, I decided to give it a try. Here is what I found:1. The 16 foot cable is well contributed and the wires already terminate inside the box. The plug is molded and sealed. The cable entry on the box appears to be well sealed and there is a restraint to secure the cable to the box.2. There are only two mounting points for this box. They are on each end of the box so that you can bolt the box to the trailer frame.3. The box is not actually sealed when the lid is tightened as there is NO gasket in the well to really seal the box. There is just a plastic shallow trough. See pictures.4. There are several points where they have already placed plastic knockouts that slide out of the box and they provided rubber slides that replace them to seal a cable with. The only problem is that the seals are sized for a cable the size of the 7 wire used for the plug. Running in a few wires will not fill the hole so you will probably need to use some sealant. Ensure you put in a strain relief to keep wires from being pulled out.5. They include a color code strip that tells you what color wires does what. Makes it easy to wire up.6. This box appears to use 10ga wire for power, ground, and brake. It uses 14 ga for the balance of the wires.All in all, does what I want.
