The YS3 is probably one of my personal favorite cubes i’ve tried out! I enjoy the blockier feel and the magnets are stronger than most. It is definitely dry and sandy out of the box, but it plays well with mods and setting up. I’d op for the ballcore personally; UV or no UV is up to preference!
My son loves that this is a magnetic cube, he can adjust the tension with the included tool, and it's easy to take apart to clean and apply the lubricant. He hasn't figured out how to take the corners off yet, if they do come off at all?? It yurned out to be a great Christmas gift.
Many speed-cubers like the V5 a ton and after using it I can see why! Great performance for the price (ball-core uv is the version to get imo). I do think the stock performance is just ok but changing the tension/compression is highly recommended and it’s easy to do.
The cube is the same size as regular. Colors are wonderful, smooth and ready for solving out of box. Comes with stand and screw driver for tensioning the cune. Much lighter aswell
I own quite a few 3x3 puzzles but this cube by far has to be my favorite. Although it’s about 2 or 3 years old it still can compete with top speed cubes. The 20 magnet ball core makes the cube so stable and smooth. I will say that the magnets are stronger than most cubes especially the 8 magnet ball core but if you prefer strong magnets it won’t be an issue especially after breaking it in. The cube also looks great overall with the shiny uv coating, red ball core, and primary internals. If you’re looking for a smooth cube that offers raw speed while being stable this is the cube for you.
